I use this in my Atmos rig, actually sounds great. One of those Behringer products that's actually good.

Why did you use the adat as clock, isn't it better to use the Internal clock?

Hi there, as far as I know, it doesn´t really make a difference. This way, the sync signal is provided by the Behringer. If I wanted to use the Scarlett as Master, I would either have to use another Toslink cable to the Behringer ADAT In, or a BNC cable for the word clock signal. But it works for me this way.

@@duchyofdrive2922 do you loose and sound quality when setting up the adat clock
@duchyofdrive29225 жыл бұрын
@@babar141 I don´t think so. It is just a sync signal. That being transmitted via ADAT it shouldn´t affect the sound quality of your audio signals.

I just can't get it to work :-( I have a 18i20 and ADA8200...can't get them to sync. Think I did everything as you did in your video...could it be the cable?

If you have an high end audio interface/converter, do these hold up in terms of quality of returning audio back to the interface? Or would something like the RME Octamic II be noticeably sound better?
@Kilzu1 Жыл бұрын
You won't be able to hear any difference at all, in fact only difference you are able to notice, is amount headroom you have in terms of adding gain, till recordings start to clip or capture amplifiers noise floor. Unless RME octamic II has EQ or some other thing (like built in tube) as well, the difference between it and ADA8200 can be seen only by comparing Oscilloscope graphs and how silent pre-amps are, either one won't make your recordings sound notably different (and if they do, that would mean they are badly made. Whole point of getting pre-amp is to boost audio signal without notable changes in anything, other than volume.)
