Nice to have you back Drew, great video as usual. I would only like to mention a few points that may have been left out: 1. The low and high bands are shelf type by default but could be changed to parametric by selecting the settings icon in the top right corner of the display (the round gear icon) whilst on the eq page 2. The high cut and low cut filter’s steepness (db per octave) can also be adjusted, same procedure as above 3. All channels (except aux ones) have an additional eq (3 band parametric) for the bus sends. 4. There is also a 3 band dynamic eq FX that could be inserted same as the 31 band eq FX that you mentioned. 5. The tilt Eq comes in really handy for me when dealing with proximity effect on shared speaker mics so rather than re eq-ing I can just use the one knob tilt function for speed All in all very thorough video and very well explained. I can’t say it enough how glad I am that you’re back, looking forward to seeing more from you. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Bless you brother!

The upload is a little too late since it's recording. With update 1.15, they have increased processing to AUX channels, now having all 6 parametric channels, as well as an insert. Anyways, loved your tutorials since the x32 days. Helped a lot when buying one and instructing our crew.

Hey brother. God bless. What’s the best way to route a hardware compressor (1176) on my x32 Producer in conjunction with reaper for using it to record in vocals as well as using it for mixing (as an insert). I also have a 2 channel Focusrite with phantom power. Can I use this in conjunction with my 1176 to the x32 for tracking vocals? Like as a preamp? If so how do I route it because it has to be plugged in via usb to operate

Hey, Tj! You would want to set that up as a hardware insert on a channel, but then you would need to set your X32 to record in a specific way to record with that insert. I have a video about recording with effects, which you would be doing a similar setup to this. Check out the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5Okf36fjJ6sqc0. For the physical insert, you would need to use the Aux out as an insert, and insert that Aux 1 to the channel using the Config tab. Using the Focusrite would be tricky along with the X32 because most DAW's only function with one audio device at a time. Hope this helps you get what you need!

@@DrewBrashler yeah I found that vid! And I have been recording in with my 1176 and sonic maximizer. So my next question is after I mix id like to take all the channels (individually mixed) and run them back to my daw so I can render a final mix to stereo. Is that possible?

On my consul I do not get the frequency lines that go up and down can you tell me what your setting is on to make it this appear? I’m talking about the light blue lines in the EQ that are going up and down

You need to turn ON the RTA mode by clicking the 'gear' icon in the EQ section, select mode: OVL and color BLU75 and you will see the real time analyzer frequency spectrum. It defaults to mode 'OFF'. You may select amber, red, or blue in various brightnesses, and what portion of the display you want dedicated to the real time analyzer spectrum display.
