I initially thought this was a bad idea, and it would have been better to have them as separate outs, but upon thinking about how I'll use it I came to the conclusion that the Wing Rack is in the rack (duh) and the stage box is on the stage... so I will use the headphone outs to feed wireless IEMs in the rack and assign the main or wedge outs to the stage box. I have a feeling many will do the same, though all of the folks who run a Wing Rack and nothing else will surely find this limitation pretty much makes the physical headphone outs useless.

Both WING RACK and COMPACT run completely silent without needing extra cooling. However, for customers in tropical climates or when you are using less ventilated racks, a matching fan with mounting hardware can be ordered through your dealer. WING RACK is already equipped with a fan power connector on the PCB. COMPACT doesn't offer this option. Hope, this helps! -Goetz

Honestly I think it’s probably a bit too complicated for a lot of people, even seasoned engineers to get a grip on if it meets them at a club for the first time. The X32 rack is so much simpler, even musicians or people who haven’t had experience with a mixer can figure it out quickly.
@joesalyers3 ай бұрын
@@filip.zivkovic Nah, its not that bad its just the interface needs some refinement. I think Behringer forgot about the early days of x32 when they introduced the X32 series they had a simple mode that was dropped by the 3rd or 4th firmware after everyone got the hang of that workflow. They should consider that for the WING. But its no more complicated than Yamaha, Digico, or Allen & heath. Avid Venue is considered the worst live system to learn by most live engineers I have encountered over the last 20 years. Basically the WING will overtake X32 as the best budget option and the new Waves LV1 Classic will be what you see guy with more money have. So WING in clubs and LV1 on tours.

I'm ridiculously excited for this product! It looks like the stereo 1/4" outs on the rear are also associated with the XLR outs, though. Meaning, it seems you either have the choice of XLR AUX 1 & 2, OR the 1/4" 1/2 stereo out. Is that correct, or are the 1/4" outs their own separate mix from the XLR? God I hope they're separate. Thanks for the walkthrough!!
@jethri3 ай бұрын
Yeah, I am understanding that each pair of XLR outs is linked to a stereo headphone out. So 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8. Same signal will go to both, probably all the time (hardware limitation, I saw someone post on another vid). My understanding is you can connect and will get signal from both XLR and 1/4” at the same time, but it will always be the same signals. If you see DCSoundOp’s screen when he discusses them, there’s only 8 destinations on that “local out” screen, and it has those headphone icons under each pair. Bummer!

Hey, thanks for the question. So you've got around 374 input possibilities when you add additional stage boxes, use the option slot or add networked audio to your console, that's were you get the extra inputs to populate the 48 processing channels, which can themselves be setup to be mono or stereo or mid-side. Does that make sense?

@@DcSoundOp thank you for replying. So out the box as a vanilla device it’s 24 physical mono inputs or 12 stereo pairs?

So what happen to the ultranet port for the p16s on the back ?
@dallasphill3 ай бұрын
The WING never had Ultranet but all of the StageConnect boxes convert to Ultranet both directions. So not only Ultranet Out but IN as well! this gives you the ability to use a XR/MR 18 as a stage box or even a monitor console. Check out the Klark Teknik DN4816U... the best way to add this feature!

The Wing never had an ultra-net port 😉

You can do ultra net through a stage box or through stage connect with an adapter.

Does the Wing Rack come with Dante card? Or do I need to purchase separately

was hoping for 96khz processing to be honest.. the A&H CQs sound unreal

If it did 96kHz, it would probably be a Midas product with a Midas price.

How I connect the Behringer xair18 to it so I can use those 18 inputs?
@randyfurlong61813 ай бұрын
Don't think that's possible, xr18 doesn't have expansion capabilities

What is the sample / bit rate? Also, does the USB connection allow other sample rates?
