Drew, this has been very helpful, but one thing that would be even more helpful is to tell people in the 'Setting Up the Routing ...' section that the Wing has an SD Card size limitation of 32GB. When following along with your presentation, I could not figure out why my 64GB cards wouldn't enable the Record light.

You can use ANY size of card you want, AS LONG AS it is formatted in FAT32. I recommend Rufus (portable version) for Windows PCs because it looks very much like the familiar Windows format dialog box, however it will only allow formatting sticks and cards, thus preventing you from accidentally erasing your boot drive. About the same time that Microsoft started selling very expensive licenses to manufacturers for ExFAT, they also removed the large device FAT32 format from Windows, which is why you will need Rufus, or any other 3rd party utility capable for FAT32 formatting large cards / sticks / disks. If you are on a Mac, then you should have the option to FAT32 format a large device natively. Please note that this is a "FINANCIAL / greed" limitation, and NOT a technical limitation. It will work perfectly, but manufacturers are specifically prohibited from saying this by the contracts they have with Microsoft and / or the SD cartel, er, association. They are literally required to say things like "We don't recommend FAT32 formatting devices over 32GB" and "FAT32 formatted devices over 32GB might not work properly in our equipment". Putting that stylized SD logo on your equipment comes with many, many restrictions, right down to what you can & can't say in documentation and on tech support forums, calls and FAQs.

Dear Drew, thank you for your great videos! My Wing is setup with Dante, so the Live Card has been taken out. Why is it so hard to find information for the internal (Dante Card) for the Wing, so that you could also use the Live Card. None of the laptops in our school could handle, what a virtual sound check could manage, so I love to hear your take on the internal slot of the Wing. Cheers from Germany

Could you use this for playing back multiple wav stereo tracks? And if so could you create a setlist and swap between songs? Like say 10 songs as individual folders each containing 4 or 5 wavs files

Thanks for a good tutorial. For some reason the rec buttons on my Wing are greyed out no matter what I do. Would any of you nice people happen to know what might be the issue? Cards are 32GB and correctly formatted, and have been used successfully with M32.

Is there a way to control the x32 or wing remotely outside the building for remote streaming mixes?

You would need to have a VNC like TeamViewer to a computer on the same network as the X32/Wing and use X32-Edit/Wing-Edit. Or you could try doing a VPN to the network that the mixer is on, but I haven't tried the VPN method.

Drew you have behringer connections please can you ask them to make wing plug-ins for mastering on the two channel recording to usb . Maselec Mea-2 emulation plug-in, tc finaliser mastering plugin. Chandler Curvebender eq plugin. If we have to pay $50 each that is fine.

@@oasischurchharrisonar5264 when I setup the Alt input as the Wing Live Play, I switched each input to global. Now I can use the Setup - Audio - Source menu to switch them all back and forth, works great.

I apologize for my bad English. I have an x32 and I would need to transfer 16 audio tracks from my Logics Pro X to the SD card to use these as backing tracks during shows. I can't do it. can you help me? I have seen all your very interesting videos but I have never found an answer to this need of mine. Stefano from Italy

You left out important parts like always. On the audio page you have to select the gray boxes to orange. Thats big. You also did not tell them to name their outputs on the card so they show up on the console
