12:00 So for the insert way of adding waves - is the wing limited to 16 inserts maximum, because there are only 16 rack slots available? And why does using an external effect take away a slot for the internal effects - does an external routing eat up processing power? I feel like there should be an additional rack only for external stuff, that doesnt take away from the internal processing.

This is my question as well. I'm baffled with this. It's externally processing so it shouldn't take an FX slot because it doesn't take away from the console's DSP resources. The external insert should be separate from the onboard FX rack and should not share channel counts.

so.. *actually* you "can" use super-rack performer using the waves card and the waves ethernet ASIO driver on windows without a waves soundgrid server. it actually has lower-latency than class-compliant USB.

Hi Drew, thank you for your videos, they are fanstastics ;-) I have a question : I will use two Wings (mon and foh) and I would like to know, if the WSG card is installed on the two Wings, can I use them to transmit the signal of the Mon wing to the FOH wing, and use Superrack with the FOH Wing in the same time ? Id love to see a video on setting up fail safe buttons to totally switch off sound grid, the alt method would work if you're hitting sound grid first. Im sure that can be mapped to a button, but what about switching off all the inserts? is that possible? just thinking in a worst case situation that waves totally crashes, what is the quickest way to switch back to straight down the console

All versions of Wing have the ability to run an internal module and a Card Slot Module simultaneously. From the factory Wings ship w SD recorders in the Card Slot as standard (no charge)...The external SD Recorder/Playback card module can be replaced w a purchased Waves or Dante Module as desired. As stated, all Wings also have an internal Module slot that can accept purchased Waves or Dante cards as desired. So the answer to your question is Yes all wings can run Dante and Waves simultaneously but you will have to replace the SD Recorder module w either the waves or Dante module and obviously you will need to have either a Waves or Dante module installed into the Wings internal card slot.

hello, I wanted to ask if it is possible to control the preamp gain directly through wave or does everything remain the same as it was with x32 or m32, that wave only has digital trim and to increase the sound level you had to go to x32 or m 32 settings?

Do I understand correctly that if you leave the Network Config as Separated, can I still connect the Wing to my LAN for remote control from mobile apps? If installing the WSG module would result in losing the remote control access, it would not work for me since our band got used to mixing their in-ears on their own

Depends on what the master clock is. The console could be the master clock and the waves card slaved to the consoles clock.

@ on the screen recording it looks like the Card is Set to internal. I think that sets the Card as the Sync Master. I heared some cracks in the audio that could cause by the clocking issue

All wings have only one internal slot. If you want both you would need to have one in the expansion card slot

I love wing, however, I still cannot understand why there are simple things missing. Like more options to assign custom buttons to!... I cannot have a custom button to turn a gate on/off. Or load a preset really quick. Please Behringer pay attention to this little things that will make our life easy.

Custom controls are standard on all Wings and yes you can assign almost any parameter (In FW3.0)+ including gate on/off and snap/show control program changes in Wing to be controlled by a custom any custom or user control button...this has been available since Wings inception (at certain levels) that are constantly being upgraded w firmware releases. Be sure to upgrade your Wing to the current FW version 3.04 to get all the latest features.
