Hi Justin! Thanks for the candid and honest opinion and the reasons why you are recommending one drum set over another. This is very helpful.

I actually got a pretty good deal for an XD80USB this past Black Friday. I got it for $299. Has twice the sounds and all pads and cymbals are dual zone with extra inputs for Tom and 2nd crash. I built a DIY snare drum from an acoustic one. Overall, for 299, and a diy snare it is a very good drumset. Nice video!!

alesis is crap, they always eventually break down. on this kit the hi hat pedal stopped working after a few months and the snare got messed up and the 2 cymbals and hi hats all got low sounding and have a very small area where the volume is normal. that being said for 299 I think this is a good kit especially for beginners. or someone getting back into drumming. the kick pad is quieter and has better rebound and feel than any other I've used. I bought a pintech and returned it cause it was so loud, the rim mostly. also bought a roland kd8, kd9 and kd120. this pad beats them all hands down imo. the only downside i see is if you use a double pedal you need to get the beaters pretty close to eachother to get an even register. I know some pedals like axis you don't have that option. luckily I had an iron cobra jr and then speed cobra and then speed cobra 2.0 and getting them close together isn't a problem. overall it's obviously not on yamaha's or roland's level but I've had mine for over 3 years and it's still going strong. I've heard alesis breaks down much quicker and overall sounds worse. finding a used e-kit isn't as easy as you might think. or maybe 300 is the most you might be willing to pay for now. personally I think it's a very good kit for the money. for an extra 100 the xd80 has chokable cymbals which I wish I had gotten but since then I've gotten an acoustic kit so I dont play it as much. but if I had to do it over I wouldn't hesitate getting this kit

Hi! If in my country I can get the Behringer XD80USB (not 8, but 80) and the Alesis Turbo Mesh, which drum set would you buy (for myself, being a beginner)?
@yuvrajchandgude16826 жыл бұрын
If you had a choice between a behringer xd80usb or xd8usb whta would you choose? The budget is 300$ however I'm buying only for practice so should I get the slightly cheaper xd8usb and spend the rest on a throne or should I get the slightly more expensive drumset xd80usb. PS: it's great that you actually reply to comments:)

I'm really confused about why the number of sounds are important. I mean most people use a max of 5 kits. If they would just make 100 phenomenal sounds on the td-81 or whatever they're planning on calling wouldn't that be better than having 2000 horrible sounds?
@65Drums6 жыл бұрын
What I think is good, and what you think is good can be two totally different things. People can't even agree if Sabian cymbals are good or bad. So the more sounds, the better options you have.

Well spoken. But a gazillion kits included just sound better to the ignorant. Hook it up to Software like EZD2 to get decent sounds.

Is the snare meant to be flat? I just bought the same kit and the snare is fairly flat…no recoil.
@dw_drummer38286 жыл бұрын
In my opinion these lower end electronic kits aren't that great for playing by themselves. But they are PERFECT for hooking up to rock band or guitar hero thru midi adapters. Also it's literally the exact same kit as the 'Ion Drum Rocker' that was the premium drum kit for rockband 2 through RB4

I actually just sold my Roland TD-4 kit to a friend of mine for 350 euro. Look online and your direct circle of friends. Someone is probably willing to you sell you their old Roland kit for about the price of this behringer kit.

Hi I played this and owned a medeli dd506 and both have the same pads . Those pads have a weird system it's like a mesh head made of rubber . You can tune them but cant replace when it's completely damaged and scratched over. My pads have holes and I couldn't buy a new rubber head . It's impossible to find this kind of rubber heads and the kick drum and cymbals are not solid at all . I don't recommend to buy it.

Hey Justin. I actually have a Behringer XD80 which was only $399. And it is better than thr XD8 cuz of the fact that all the pads r Dual Zone n there are 175 sounds in the module. I've had it about 2.5 years n it's held up pretty well. A few issues with the pads losing their sensitivity but at the price what can U expect right? Overall a good kit to practice on. But no way a kit to take on a gig but that's what my Acoustic kit is for. Lol I totally agree with all your comments on the XD8. It's cheaper n lot less sounds. I LOVE YOUR videos, keep an coming n Rock on 🤘

its close to the same pos as the ion kit for rockband. you know this more than i; midelli u named here. you named the 10 other companies who sell it rebranded. those pads get chewed up in 2 months tops with real use. its good if u already got the existing frame and need to add on. good if you paid 65$ for it like i did mine. i had to buy other tops and roland pieces. cymbals break/rattle so fast too . also if u just need a frame. i sure hope this isnt the smallest lightest frame there is cause its a lot
@Drazer0126 жыл бұрын
I think this LITERALLY is the same pads as the Ion set, which is a pretty big damn joke considering those were considered sub-par for a video game from years ago lol
