Thank you! You put this out a couple of years ago & it was the only tutorial that told me about adjusting the gain & turning off the other knobs. No one else I have found went into that much detail. Those that were more indepth spoke wayyyy over my head..lol There are 2 buttons that are near the top ..they are only available for the microphone and I have the USB version. I have no idea what they do . Additionally I had everything set up but hit a couple of the main buttons ...& didn't know how to get the setup back for 1. getting my mic into my computer properly 2. hearing sound from my computer & my open headphones for when I'm singing I could only get the sound to come through the computer which of course got picked up by the mic. The buttons I am referring to are the To PHones/ctrl rm and to main mix under what circumstances do they need to be pressed or left unpressed. Lastly, is my mixer in any way controlling the volume of my pc? I've had some issues with it being quite low lately & wondered if it could be that...lol

Yes That is good for recording direct on the camera's audio input. Often the camera audio is better than you expect once you are not using its mic preamps

Thanx for the video. I have an audio source in at the LINE IN 3/4, and out at the MAIN OUT. My question is, can I connect a powered sub to the CTRL ROOM OUT, and be able to control the sub volume (same audio source) separately from the MAIN OUT volume knob with the CTRL ROOM volume knob ? I had bets if you'd be the first to comment periurban! If you are looking for hi-fi, rather than audiophile, have a look at the UFO202 which has a phono cartiridge RIAA input and digital out.

Nice vid, i got a question about volume controls. I connected my pc to the mixer using 3.5mm jack - 2x rca with adapters to the channels 5/6 input and my studio monitors on the main out, this means i have now 3 ways to control the volume (my studio monitors are fixed at 6 so i dont count them) Windows volume mixer, channel 5/6 volume and the main mix volume, what is the correct chain of order to set the volume? Cause i read that it matters to keep your signal clean and noise free or something like that. So the 2 volume knobs on the mixer halfway and use the windows mixer to set the volume or?

Question about the stereo channels--if you have a left and right channel and want a "surround sound" kind of effect with equal sound hard panned out of both left and right, that would be the middle, right? What is the difference between the outputs in the "MAIN OUT" (1/4" socket) and the "2 Track" (RCA) output? Also, if I have a video camera, then which output from the 802 should go to the camera inputs, and which should go to my Tascam audio recorder? I desire to have a good audio file for the podcast as well as a video file with quality audio. Thanks for the help and great video! Thumbs up!

Thanks SkyCNG. Despite the different names they are actually the same thing, they connected to the same output point of the 802. So its purely a question of which physical connectors are most convenient to connect to the camera and the TASCAM. Out of interest which TASCAM are you using? Im playing with the DR60 at the moment and Ill publish that soonish.

I just tested mine and they seem to be the same level (Main Output L&R, and CD/Tape OUtput L&R) and the schematic is showing them connected to the same point in the output bus

Hi Nikos, The mixer has a mass of controls for eq, effects panning etc and may have just analogue out or have a USB out using a built in A-D interface built in. The audio interface is purely the converter from analogue in to USB out, although this will generally be of better quality. Have a look at my video on the Behringer UCA 202 for more info on A-D

Hi Kulay, Sorry no, this like most has analogue only inputs. You can plug it into any computer USB for recording, but it gets complicated if you are trying to mix with other things

I think you go out of the FX send to the input of your fx unit and back into the mixer by the stereo AUx return

Hello, I have a question about audio routing on the Behringer XENYX 802 mixer. In principle, I succeed with the recordings and am satisfied with the product. Although the device only provides stereo output and not multi-channel output, this is not (yet) a problem for me. Partly I use it to mirror one output completely to the left, the other completely to the right. So I can separate them. But I can't cope with the following scenario and would need help... I would like to hear a play-along track, but not record it. But somehow I can't really do it. Thought I could do that via the 2-track input. But somehow it doesn't work over there. It sounds like I can use the FX send on a mix minus setup up, or do I need to use the Stereo Aux Send to do the mix minus set up? I'm hoping that I can use the FX send as each channel can be controlled independently vs one master Aux send controller.

Yes - I looked into that a while ago when a couple of reviews said it couldn't do mix-minus. But its 'just' another submix , which is really all the effects send is. So use the FX send as your mix-feed and use the fx fader knobs to select what goes out to it.

I would like to connect my Rode 1/2 condenser mics through the mixer to my pc for ASMR videos, unfortunately i have no clue as too what cords i need to order much less if there is a software i should be having in addition.
