I love this video! I am a multi-passionate person who wants to escape the rat race of the 9-5 life and create a life that has meaning to me. My issue is that I always feel so stuck in my head, and it's hard for me to will myself to change my life. I get glimpses of the life I'd like, but it's hard to believe that it's something that I, myself, can obtain. Plus, I'm a perfectionistic procrastinator that over-analyzes things to death 😅

Me too to a T, I have adhd and entering the freeze response resulting in procrastination and zoning out is REAL. Self motivation is extremely hard for people with adhd, or people with a habit of procrastination, so let go right now of thinking there’s anything wrong with you. The main trigger of procrastination is uncertainty- being unclear or indecisive about the VERY next mundane task/step. That needs to be written in blood, so that you can commit, one BABY step at a time, to a very clear MICRO goal, because motivation is not reliable, and overwhelm due to looking at the project as a whole, rather than these achievable micro steps, will shut your brain down every time. The thing that helps melt that freeze the most that you can do while you’re IN freeze response to get out, is visualizing yourself doing those mundane micro tasks, INSTEAD of doing what most people will say to visualize the biggest goal possible, this has been proven to help you initiate your goals, because that helps you begin momentum, rather than looking at a monstrously huge goal and shutting down due to overwhelm & logical self doubt of feeling like you have to do all of that at once. I wish you the best! And you can do every one of those baby steps to get where you’re going.. STARTING & DOUBTING yourself are the hardest parts, but understand it’s a natural and inevitable ebb and flow & to KEEP GOING!! You will thank yourself later & see your impact later 🌸

I agree with your comment “everyone is a creative”. I used to work in entertainment and I was always suprised that the “creatives” were mostly business people working off of research, numbers, sales oriented. If you wanted a “creative” job title, a lot of them looked creative, but they weren’t any better than anyone else and often there because they are just great networkers. Meanwhile if people can’t get “hired” for a creative title, people will disown their own creativity/freedom.

I couldn't agree more. You cannot just do a single thing and expect to stay motivated for too long. By switching between different projects or hobbies, it becomes easier to say motivated and the energy to continue...

Love it!! I'm a 23 years old physicist and a beginner copywriter. I'm also very fascinated with quantum physics, neuroscience and psychology. Also, I resonate a lot and love your spirituality and your approach to work and purpose. Thank you very much for all your videos! Love your channel and your podcast! Very grateful for all of it. Can wait to read your book! Will buy the kindle version because I'm from Costa Rica and can't wait 2 weeks for it to arrive. Haha! Also, you said in one of your podcast episodes (maybe an old one) that you were reading Joe Dispenza. I love his book "Supernatural". I recommend it if you haven't read it already.

People say it's risky to start your own thing. I think the risk really lies in being an employee your entire life, leaving your livelihood in someone else's hands. Well said Alex. I really like how you emphasized the importance of doing different things... I love learning and doing all kinds of stuff - taking care of & propagating plants / gaming / skiing / creating content / building things & renovating my house. I also really like to be able to share my knowledge with others if they seek it 🤩

You're SO right, that is why I quit my management job. Doing the same everyday, even if I liked the job and had a lot of freedom, made me insane. Being selfmployed is hard and I haven't figured out everything yet but at least I am curious for new every day of my life bc I can pursue so many things ans I am in control of my time. That way I also don't despise doing things like accounting, the next day will be a creative one again etc 😄

Most people mess up by taking on debt. Most people will need to be laser focused on a specific profession to make enough money to pull ahead of the pack. Investments can be made from that point. I do the stock market. I don't work anymore.

Question? Am I allowed to add this disclaimer to my gigs? Please note that I am open to negotiating the price, but keep in mind that you should be clear about your expectations for the completion time and take into account the delivery schedule when making an offer. Due to the multiple projects I receive on a weekly basis, a discounted offer may not take priority over my current work or be completed in a timely manner. By accepting a discounted offer, you agree to these terms and any attempts to cancel the offer based on these terms will be denied.

Learning alottt from you! Thank you so much, Alexandra! I have a question, a bit off topic here. I watched 2 of your videos about Fiverr. I just want to start freelancing. Which should I start with? Fiverr or Upwork? Some say Fiverr is saturated and I can earn more with Upwork these days. Is that true? Appreciate it, if you could respond 🙏🙏

This is probably something that was true when my grandma was a teenager, I don't know anybody my generation (30-somethings) that thinks like that, now, I'm not American, so probably this is a thing in the USA, in the south no so much, keep in mind that informal job rate in really high over here, people do whatever the f... they want. how's that going for the region strictly economically speaking, you be the judge.
