Being short (5'4") has been a blight on my life. I have endured a lot of insults and mockery over the years from men and women, and when I clap back I get accused of having Short Man Syndrome or Napoleon Complex. If I don't, I lose social status because now I'm not standing up for myself -- a lose-lose situation. I used to just carry on with my own independent brand of confidence, but over time I think it has affected me. It's like constantly being sandpapered - you don't really notice in the short term, but over a longer period of time it wears you down, and down, and down. Now I feel bitter about it, and sometimes it makes me mean and I don't like it. My last partner was 6'2". Everywhere we went publicly, if we were holding hands or otherwise being intimate people used to stand and stare, take video or photos, or make the most shocking and insanely rude comments. One comment by a woman a couple of years ago is going to stay with me for the rest of my years. Someone at the table asked in a somewhat joking manner, "Would you ever date a guy shorter than you?", with her being about 5'8". "Never," she said, "I don't do charity work." That one is laser-etched on my brain for all eternity.

I have to say that some people are clueless about life because they've never really had to face harsh realities. These guys sound like they're completely unaware of the struggles some people face, such as issues with height, looks, and other things. They sound like two drunk guys talking in a bar about anything that comes to their minds. Being short is essentially a curse nowadays, especially with all the dating apps. That's a no-brainer. There's nothing you can really do about it. Maybe go to another country and meet people of the same height if you're like 5'5" at least. If he's shorter than that, damn, I don't even know what to tell you. Although I know some short people who did okay, they were extremely attractive. So that kind of helped, I guess. But then again, that was before all these dating apps started coming out and women had an abundance of choices. My dad told me he dated a lot when he was young, always the local women and girls around the neighborhood. So a lot of people dated within the area, and there was a limited supply of people, of course, because it was a small town or little neighborhood. Nowadays, you have the whole world on that phone, and if you're short and don't have what they want, you might as well not even have a phone to try to date if you're short.

The one thing I don’t understand if only the tall men get the women and breed why are there so many short men , logically everyone should be over 6 foot according to the preferences of most women ,,,,,, I blame my mother for being short
@Josh-fp2qn4 ай бұрын
I can’t explain that either. My only theory is that because women didn’t have right and freedoms until the last 50 or 60 years they would have to settle for whatever guy could provide a good life whether he was short or tall. But, now that women have birth control and equal rights they are able to choose the men they always truly wanted which is the taller men.

Theres many factors like migration.... and those stats are often misleadings The height in "free" countries go Up a lot from the inception of rights and technology like birth control... Also a 5ft Wm having kids with a 6'4 Guy doesnt garantee u Tall kids... U might very well have kids as short as u

@@Dimllll773 statistically, over time, the more undesirable traits will become less common. In earlier generations, height was not as important as wealth and status, only within the last few decades has height become as important as it is now, so it will probably take several more decades for short height genes to become less prevalent amongst men.

I'm only 5/7 what's not unreasonably short, and there's plenty of men unfortunately shorter than I am, but for all of my life, I have hated being short. If the genie of the lamp could have granted me only one wish, I wouldn't have wished for fortune and fame, or athletic prowess, or super intelligence, or be gods gift to women. I would have wished to be tall. Back when that short people song was being first played on the radio, I was part of a 50 member crowd, or actually a mob what almost turned into a riot, that stormed a radio station in Pennsylvania to demand that song be taken off the air. The police came to break it up. Some of the same mob people, I wasn't one of them, also charged into all of the record stores in the area to grab and smash up those short people records and they made serious threats of violence towards the store people, if ever again. I heard there were fist fights that broke out, too. And another time, I heard of a short kid, being teased about that song, he hit his detractor over the head with a school chair what caused a concussion with permanent brain damage

Unless your face looks like road kill height is way above face. People generally don't find it acceptable to mock someone for their face. It's also pretty subjective unless like I said your face looks like a car accident and there's no way you can fix it without surgery. Height is objective and even if you had a billion dollars the only way to fix your issue is extremely risky while for face you could get surgery for a better price than leg lengthening
