Being A Solo Performer -It Has It's Advantages!

Being a solo acoustic performer has its challenges no doubt. Musicians often struggle trying to get gigs and find venues to play. Also the competition for landing gigs as a solo acoustic performer is fierce. For all of the disadvantages of being a musician and a solo acoustic musician in general there are definite benefits to those who can perform as a solo act. Hey frank thank you for your videos great information I am just setting up a solo act I have played in bands for years as a singing bass player, but have always been a songwriter I struggle a little covering the guitar part to a lot of songs I like to make copy's songs my own as much as possible. I know the bass parts well. I can play for 3 or 4 hours. setting up set lists is somewhat challenging. I have done some busking and playing for tips at food cart area's, still working on a promo pack and mastering some songs. This summer I am taking a trip and will play along the way should get me going. Could you share a song list or two? and thanks again

Hey thanks for comment. If you can play 3 or 4 hours then you are well on your way. Just keep at it and having a promo pack is a great idea. I don’t really make song lists per se but in my last video kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6jOimV6qM2Bqqc I covered 5 songs that are definite crowd pleasers and the other viewers shared dozens of their picks in comments. Plenty of great song ideas for you to pick from and from people out there doing it. I wish you the best
