I also think that when the two adults decide to marry, they can take atleast another year trying to create bonding moments for the children. Let the children start hanging out slowly by slowly, have sleepovers at the different homes to create familiarity and acceptance. I always feel like the adults assume that the children will automatically blend which is not the case. The children should also " date" each other before this huge responsibility of living together is thrown onto them 🤷‍♂️
@LisaKusiima

Eh this is an interesting concept hahaha but how does it play out in reality when the 2 are already married or when dating isn’t long for the parents?
@anonnona6433

@@LisaKusiima Whatever the case, if the adults date for 6 months, they should intentionally make the children meet and acclimatise in those six months. 😂 There are some parents who don't inform their children until the last minute. One day it is just you and your mom or dad, the next day, you are thrown into this new dynamic. The adults are learning to live with each other, the children have to accommodate the new parent and siblings, oops, it is too much most especially for a child. 😳Kudos to those who have done their best to make it work.

@@anonnona6433 usually theres a fear to introduce your children early, moreover to a man you are not sure of you'll get married to. ofcourse it's easier said than done but the reality of it is different, remember you are also trying to get to know each other and see if your values align. of course for long dating it can definitely work but not short dating

Thanks for bringing your bonus mom! And yes, y'all can organise a fully paid trip for them to have a honeymoon 😂....Hopefully, one day you get to share about your bio mom. Titus and your other siblings could join you for that( if they are up to it) The beautiful memories you have about her, the lessons, and the trauma of losing a mom at a young age most especially as a girl. Did you have therapy or life had ro just go on? May she continue to rest in peace.

Yes Lisa this was a good gesture! This topic is sensitive and yet a big number of people are finding themselves in these arrangements and it seems they don't get time to internalize these things before committing. We have cases of many young people having children out of wedlock which makes them end up in blended families and the katogo can be too much. The sharing was so helpful ❤
