Being a STRONG woman

Sometimes we think as Christian women, we should be more of a servant or more of a mild mannered…. I don’t think this is true. Our Lady was a Fierce, Powerful woman!!! We, as Catholics, are allowed to be fully ourselves & the Lord has made many women to be fierce fighters for him! Mother Gabriella is one of these ladies!! We chat about some of our most inspiring ladies who lived their faith to the fullest!

Love u ladies...have surrounded myself with beautiful strong woman also and am one myself.....we love Jesus sooo much and suffer for the Church in the state she is in at this time...many sacrifices going up ......we dont know if we will b martyred in days to come....but we would certainly welcome it in each of our sufferings and r preparing to just b ready....

Thank you so much!! I was raised in a legalistic protestant family. It was not just implied that strong women were in sin. It was outright said. I have struggled my whole life with believing I was too assertive, independent, and opinionated. And that those things made me sinful and not feminine.

It's just struck me that the Muslims praying in the street must also have been experiencing fear about how people might react to them. I'm glad that all the praying people were there to pray on that occasion. I wonder what onlookers saw

Probably too late to comment now but however lovely it is to hear two strong women talking, what struck me is that while what you say about your own vocations is clearly true for you, it does not follow that it is true for all women. Just because you chose them does not mean that those are the only choices: what about the woman whose talents and temperament and spiritual desire is to be called to the ordained priesthood? There are no structures within the church in which that calling can be tested, as the calling men feel is tested. The fact that neither of you feels called to the ordained priesthood is not a good basis for saying the ordained priesthood is not for women. Also, there are lies everywhere: We are living in a fallen world and until men can show that they are worthy of the ‘mission’ you talk of it is potentially dangerous to invite women to see themselves as submitting to, or coming under the mission of, a husband. Marriage requires both mail and female to help each other grow on holiness. Sometime the wisdom of the woman’s heart is something the man needs to pay attention and submit to for his own good and the good of his wife and family. John was also at the foot of the cross. I agree that we are called to be what we are created to be. Not all Catholic men are ordained priests or fathers. And there is space for them in all. There should be room for women too to take the better place of sitting at Jesus feet rather than domesticity or consecrated virginity. St Therese also felt a desire to be a priest. Please don’t judge such desires. That’s God’s job.
