clothesencounters Thank you for sharing your feelings. I hope you remember that you are no longer a girl. You are a positive, upbeat & very smart young woman. It ok to say no, it ok to not agree. It’s very important that you do not settle and hold resentment later. Resentment is the birth discontent. So getting what you want or arriving at a compromise about things will help with self esteem.😊♥️

I honestly feel so much closer to you when you show your raw vulnerable emotions. I remember a really old interview years ago where you teared up because you were so sad that you couldn't get to know all of your fans at meet and greets. It was such a sweet and precious moment to see you like that. I know the fear of showing negative feelings esp growing up in a korean household, but I bet you'll see that your viewers will always appreciate you and probably love you even more for being real.

Jen! Please don't be obligated to have to show your vulnerable side to us. Just create whatever content you feel comfortable sharing. Honestly, when I see your videos, I don't always think like "omg her life is perfect" I see it as, "omg she has worked so hard to get where she is now" We know you had your ups and downs and your life reflects hardwork and inspires people like me.

As a girl of about 15 years of age, I am really having a hard time finding what I like to wear / express myself as. A lot of people I feel judge me for who I am, and I’m scared to wear bold colors or do new things with my hair. I’ve just stuck with not really wearing a lot of makeup, and as a result I feel less pretty and less like me. However, watching your videos give me hope on how I can one day be just as confident, pretty, and happy as you are. Thank you so much Jen. These vlogs get me through the week.

Growing up, I was in a similar position as yours. I wanted to dress a certain way, but was terrified of what people would think. Then every day I started to challenge myself by getting out of my comfort zone. I put on the outfit I was nervous about and it got easier and easier as I kept doing it. Keep with it and stay true to yourself. n_n

Wait update okay: I understand the emotion of your brain saying "No you should be grateful you have these problems". We all have our baggage and our childhood mentality that carries us into what we feel today. I get pretty insecure too, but to be honest it's because of others who have opened up about it that made me feel more confident. And I know you have your problems and stress, and you're definitely grateful, but always allow yourself to have a fit and feel upset. You're human and you have devoted yourself to a service which we all can enjoy while you work hard behind the scenes for it. Not everyone holds themselves to a standard or changing a standard for something. For you it's fashion. I'm glad you've chosen to open up to us even though KZbin can be cutthroat. Your honesty is appreciated and trust me, it's helping a lot of people out there. Including me.

Awwh Sarah's getting married too! That was such a sweet moment! I feel like I'm the opposite, I'm too good at hiding my emotions, I often struggle with loneliness because no one knows how I feel. I really dislike being vulnerable too, it goes back to childhood. It's crazy how experiences from our childhood can stick with us and effect the way we act right up to adulthood.

Just pausing the video after your moment of opening up about your emotions to say something I've learnt in the last year. One of the hardest parts of depression (which I have) is the part when you don't know you're depressed. Where you're feeling down, lost, numb, easily upset etc and don't know why. Once you have a name for the feelings, and thus a way to realise it isn't just you, there's something else going on, it causes a sense of relief. Like, oh, so that's why nothing has felt fun for the last four months. It's oddly freeing. Having learnt that, I've then learnt to realise that whatever I'm feeling is valid and I can't control it. I can just choose how to react to the feelings; to embrace them, sit with them and then let them go, or whatever I choose in the moment. You've mentioned meditation before and I think mindfulness as well, they have some principles quite similar to this. Control is an issue for me, related to anxiety, so knowing that I can choose how to react to my emotions or that I don't have to react, I can just hold them for a minute, is so helpful. It's allowed me to move past distressing moments and prevent my whole day from becoming ruined. This is a long and ramble filled comment, sorry! But maybe this will be an interesting read for you. Anyway, on to the rest of the video!

As a person who's also always been a realist about the idea of love, watching you and Ben's relationship through the years is almost like watching a romance movie. Except it's not fictional! Both of y'all are so lucky to have met each other at the right times in your lives. Virgo's keep it real 100% lol I know this because my sister is a Virgo. There's no hiding with her emotions. You're truly an inspiring to younger women and men. I loved your positive vibe since your college years. I'm still learning how to control jealousy, anger and stress. I hate feeling envious of other's people's growth and just feeling stagnant with my growth. I'm learning to appreciate where I am now. My anger issues has gotten better but I agree if I'm mad I feel it completely and takes over. This semester has taught me not to add extra stress when it's not needed. It's feels good knowing you have the same issues and people can relate with. I love you

Hi Jenn! I've been watching you since a 2011 and you've really blossomed into this beautiful women inside and out. When you go through highs your fans get excited for you. When you go through lows your fans give you nothing but love and support. When you are vulnerable that is where you find your strength. Putting yourself out in the public is not easy and your goal is to not please people, but to impact people in a good way whether through fashion, life or just loving who they are built to be. You are starting a new chapter in your life and I hope you can spend more quality time with your friends and family to soak it all. Sharing good advice on starting a new life of being a MRS. To find good mentors solid in their marriage to help or give guidance when you and Ben need it. If we look at ourselves there are many things to be grateful for; a house, a car, nice clothes, and so on, but let's not forget about the ones who have nothing. Those who struggle to make each day worth living for. I've learned we need to appreciate life whether we have it all or have nothing and when we can to give, even when we can't give- not to benefit for ourselves, but for the lives of others who have lost hope in life and to remind them they are not forgotten. I hope you can always find joy no matter what in life Jenn! You are a mighty KZbin inspiration!

Wow that video was really loooong! But such a great escape from my reality for a solid 25mins. Just like you in the past, I struggle(ed) a lot from jealousy. I moved countries to countries so many times that I used to be really jealous of people who had a stable family, friend group, best friends and hometown. I would freak and internally strangle myself whenever people called me odd or weird and cried from loneliness and the need of close familiar friends, that I would always have to leave after 1-3years. I am and used to be even more EMOTIONAL that I had so much meaning in mylife. Numbing was one thing that followed after struggling with life/moving, but I think now I’ve come to accept it and love myself for being unique and coming to love myself and God before anyone. MY POINT, thanks Jen especially for sharing your experience dealing with negative emotions and just sharing your life with us!

You really helped me think through and help me accept my flaws when talking about your own. Hi Jenn! I'm thankful for you being so nice and more open! i look up for you as inspiration as a person, and yes, we're all humans, but the fact that you accept that and try to change for the better shows how nice you are! love from chile

My family does different vietnamese dishes for Thanksgiving! I'm glad that you are having a lot of self growth and slowly learning what your strengths and weaknesses are! Hope you have a good holiday season with loved ones!!

every time you open up i think "dang, we could really be friends" because i feel like we're on the same wave length. Regarding your current self acceptance path, don't sweat it because I think it's what most of 20-somethings go through..it's like hearing the conversations with some of my friends! I also still carry the weight of self deprecation and sometimes it gets the best of me, some other times i really see the silliness of it. We shouldn't flagellate ourselves if we feel something, we are human and fallible and most of all multifaceted, even if you "have it all" doesn't mean you should be happy all the time! Oh and about that, you could never come through as one dimensional because your depth shows through even a youtube video. I can only imagine what it is like to get to know you! Hope this is one of your liftmeup-comments, many hugs and keep it up!!
