Bibim Korea - I have a question and suggestion?! WHY is this video not subtitled in Korean as well? Who exactly is your target audience? I will give you the benefit of the doubt but I still feel this is just to increase views from the Indian market for obvious reasons. If you really mean to raise awareness about India in South Korea, then this video should have Korean subtitles. Piyusha did a great job.
@itsnotme2575 Жыл бұрын
It doesn't matter if it has Korean subs, Koreans never watch these videos nor are they interested in knowing about India. They're obsessed w the west and white skin. They anyway think all Indians are ugly and poor and don't want to be associated w us
@Une_Baguette Жыл бұрын
You must know it takes quite amount of time to make subs and in many cases it still takes a day or two to put that up after uploading the video. And even if there's only English subs, what's wrong with that? It will still be meaningful for Indians and other English speakers to know the guest's experience in and opinions on Korea.
@harshaliygadgil Жыл бұрын
@@Une_Baguette We Indians know everything about our country, know? I have read and seen first hand the amount of prejudice and stereotypes, misconceptions and BS that is attached to my country's name in Korea. I have lovely Korean colleagues who were shocked to know about real India as the image of my country painted in South Korea is ridiculous and wrong. I have seen the hell that breaks loose if one types 'India' in Korean language on KZbin. The 10 part video series from South Korean KZbinrs who visit India for clout and views and purposely visit the poorest and dirtiest parts in the country, eat at unhygienic places, take cheap transport and live at shady hotels which maligns the image and name of my country. It is shameful. The disrespect and racism is unreal and so many Indians living in South Korea have also shared similar experiences. And it is the opposite in India. Indian people adore South Korea and it's people of course because of K-pop and K-drama and because of some similarities between the cultures are always interested in all things related to South Korea. So it is South Korea which needs to know the real India and need awareness and not my country. It is South Koreans need to start respecting India and get over their prejudices and not vice-versa. So my question was valid! It was a genuine question because many people make videos about India in order to earn views as we are the highest populated country and the video tends to go viral easily. Anyway, the other girl answered my question.

She mentioned some of the critical points like; 1. "This is from my own experience". 2. Not everyone is same or nor the system that they follow is same in the country even if it is Korea or India. Both countries have good and bad people. 3. Understanding the culture and accepting it ( again it is applicable for both Koreans and Indians) 4. She also explained clearly the advantages & disadvantages of being in Korea and India. Because India is good in some aspects whereas, Korea is good in some other aspects. 5. And also, she didn't say one has to change their culture for the foreigners. But, she hoped for better so that Indians/any foreigners and Koreans can develop their bond and mutual respect. 6. One more thing, she didn't say any rude things about Korea. She just stated facts that she observed during her journey. She is very respectful and she also said Korea is a good country to live in when you adopt to it's culture. Since, India is a very large and diversed country with 28 states has different cultures, languages, food etc. So you can't expect same behaviour from everyone. But whatever she said is a typical Indian behaviour who welcome others heart warmingly. Anyways, don't judge her because, she is honest and respectful towards both countries. Hope you understand 🙆🙆.

As a resident of Mumbai India, who has travelled to other well known cities of the world…NYC, LA, London, Auckland…I have to say that Mumbai definitely compares to them…yes it’s expensive to live here as well as is the business city vibe it has, crowds & bustle, cleanliness etc. but I’ve never struggled to travel here…you have transportation of all kinds that’ll take you everywhere & to suit every pocket, the same goes for cuisine, grocery’s, clothing…everything. So I guess it depends on where in India you live. Out of curiosity I once googled the base price of housing in the Gangnam area of South Korea & it prompted that it started at $60,000/-…and upwards; converted to INR that’s about ₹5 to ₹6 lakh…which seemed reasonable in comparison to where I stay..which isn’t even downtown Mumbai & the basic 1bhk prices here are still close to a crore. I'm Indian who got immersed into Japanese from young age through anime and learnt it to a dedrnt level... and now got into Kdramas and started to learn Korean. IMHO, Learning to speak Korean is one thing but getting the accent right is the most difficult and challenging part and she nailed it!!! Especially Korean even though it's phonetic, the cadence and pace are so fast with lot of pure consonants in so frequently... that it's difficult just to pick up the sounds while listening... Let alone repeat them. Great job!!! And I wish I could get such a level of accent in either Japanese or Korean in future... And The "sou desu ne!" at the end was the best!! It tittilated Japanese half of my brain...
Dont Support korean. Korean is just feeling superior in many things while they're not. Feeling rich but they're not. The real rich countries in Asia is China, Singapore and Japan and not korea. Fuck off korean, Yall feeling rich and superior! You're still poor country so don't act that yo rich. Boy in korea looks gay with make up and softmoves😂

She's just from one part of india (while india's each part is different & diverse in everyway) & that too metropolitan, hugely developed urban region..so the youth there r more influenced from west, inclined to individualistic as west but That's not true for whole/majority of india, What's true is that Yeah we r very welcoming & inclusive of others since ancient times due to being pluralistic, diverse society & heterogenous nation ourselves from always Unlike Skorea (that's why we got invaded by multiple Outsider islamic invaders & british colonizers for past 100 centuries who all took advantage of this open-hearted, welcoming, accepting, tolerating & making others inclusive with us Nature/culture of indians) But at same time Our society have that sense of community & collectiveness aka it's collectivistic, promotes social cohesion and interdependence since ancient times as well while still kind of valuing the individualism of one to some extent. & Btw, In my state in india We use "our, us, ours, we" in almost sentences for saying things in our language too (but this culture of our language gradually fading due to influence of those so call modern/developed societies & youth of modern metropolitan cities of few state or them teasing our ppl for this when we go there) but we r very inclusive of others with us, still holds sense of community/collectiveness too while somehow manage to value induvidualistic to some extent within the collectivist sense of community as well and This is true for all India overall.

Well said buddy. No typical Indian people can survive in korea. Especially,I can't live in a country where people judge others by their skin colour,attire,looks. Yeah marine drive is a pretty safe area. A lot of my friends would travel there in 1 or 2 AM but yes what she says is true- it depends on the location here in India. Some areas can be very bad, some a bit ok-ish (as in you don't wanna go out after like 9-10 PM or so) & some pretty safer like marine drives so yes. This is again because of our development (both in education & justice system) but it will change slowly.

Not sure if you guys heard of the term Burganomics. It's an empirical take on currency exchange rates. The basic idea is to compare how much of one item (e.g. a burger) you could buy with one currency vs the other. For example if the same exact burger costs 1 dollar in the US and 100 rupees in India, it tells you that the practical exchange rate is 1:100 (a hundred rupees to one dollar). If you can buy 36 bananas in India for the same amount as one banana in Korea, that means that effectively one Indian rupee is worth 36 Korean won.

Korean should remain inclusive. What the Korean were and are doing is good otherwise people will come and ruin the culture. That's how it started. Korea is way better than India. Korea is a developed country and India is a developing country. Let India be India and and Korea be Korea. Please don't let some outsider come and judge. The discrimination part is not good but if you go to India its even way worst. So Korean keep doing what you are doing and keep moving on and inspire us. If any Korean is reading my comment please understand that this is coming from a person who has hand to hand experience not from some internet videos. Fighting.

That's right. There is a big difference between Korea and India as the sky and the sea. Koreans spend about $400 a month on their pets. But interestingly, Indians earn $250 a month. In other words, Indians live a lower life than Korean puppies in Korea. With this gap, of course, it may be normal for Koreans to ignore Indians or judge them by thinking that their level is low... Of course, Koreans are ignored and discriminated against even when they go to England or America.. That's human relationships.
