This was the best video by far on KZbin on how to be a threat offensively from the blueline.

Couldn't agree with you more. He is so good. To have that kind of confidence along the blueline as last man back... against the best defenders on the planet... amazing.

Just learning to skate, question, when you say backward inside edges are you putting weight on back of skate? love the videos you have made, wish you could do more. thanks.

Hey! When you are backwards skating, the pressure is middle of the skate and forward (when you push off, it's the ball of your foot). I am putting together a couple of skating courses geared for adults. One will help develop your balance. The other will breakdown the skating techniques. The balance one will be set up so you can go to the rink and listen with Earbuds and have short training sessions with some planned sequences. Pretty cool. That will be ready hopefully in a couple of weeks!

@@kellianhockey Thanks for responding, excited to check out your skating technique courses and definitely need balance help, falling backwards has been a problem.

Also, one more thing, just a stretch here, you would may be the first to do this if you wanted but I practice during public skating, no sticks, where is a good place to place your arms during some of the skating drills you do. Fwd stride I get but other drills not sure. thanks.

@@leppsqueeze In the forward stride... yes... let your arms swing. Everything else, I would say to have both of your hands in front of you. Imagine you are holding a drink in each of your hands... arms bent. That will be as close to where your hands would if you were holding your stick.

If you want to be offensive, just use curse words and slurs.
