It's incredibly hard when it's family, though in my case the abuse was so extreme that I never once missed the creatures in question. I get a lot of disrespect and abuse from medical staff since becoming severely disabled. Each time I have stood up for myself, it resulted in me suffering false allegations of violence, mental illness etc. Yes they do falsely accuse me of that despite me being helplessly on a stretcher! The abuse, violence, contempt, disrespect, lies etc I have had to suffer since becoming disabled - and continue to suffer - is so severe that it has changed me as a person. The worst part is that I cannot defend myself - neither verbally/in writing as I only get falsely accused of the above, nor physically due to my severe disability.

This very much applies to a dude I used to know. I was very much infatuated with him and hoped for many years that more than friendship would come of it. He however treated me with utmost contempt: he told me I wasn't good enough, he lied about everything and anything, he falsely accused me of serious crimes, he sided with my r @ p ! $ t $ /my little one's murderers and claimed what they had done to me was "the punishment for the crimes I had committed"!!!! How sick is that!!! He claimed he was this "master", "here on Earth on a special mission", had a "special connection with God", that people were just "too stupid to see how good he was" but the "higher beings know him", that he was an Ancient Egyptian semi god, that he was an Ancient Egyptian reincarnated whatever, that he was here to "instruct people", that a "bunch of nymphs were dying with lust for him"... Here's the truth about him: a serial r @ p ! $ t and killer, a cannibal, a devil worshiper who is in and out of mental hospitals (or permanently in), his family have power of attorney - meaning he is so disturbed he was deemed - not sure if this would be by a doctor/psychiatrist or a judge but one of the two - to be unable to handle his own affairs! Going by the above, he was most likely diagnosed with severe schizophrenia. I don't really believe in the mental illness scam (everything is a "mental illness" nowadays) but this dude was seriously unhinged. You ask why I ever liked him? A fair question... these creatures are masters of manipulation and deception, they regularly fool professionals. They are in my opinion demonically possessed by something unholy from hell. Illusion is what they do best. So, basically, for a long time he came across as a wonderful and decent young man - before I eventually discovered the truth. Also, I never met him in person as this was entirely online. Online it's extremely difficult to see the truth about someone as one doesn't have the chance to pick up on someone's energy the way one does in person. It's all just words - and any criminal can use nice words to pretend to be something he is not. Throw into the mix a girl like me, lifelong abuse behind me (and ongoing), alone, I had just been r @ p e d again when he came along (I'm being targeted by the r @ p e gangs here in the UK) - I was extremely vulnerable. By the way, the dude also used fake names and even fake locations - he claimed to be in an entirely different continent from where he really was!!! I didn't stand a chance seeing the truth about him in the beginning. That I ever discovered the truth about him, without knowing even his real name or location, is nothing short of a miracle. Don't worry, folks, I have long gotten rid of him. He is now constantly trying to contact me under a plethora of fake identities online. It's the famous hoovering that they all do... I'm not falling for it!
