Thank you for this, Gary. “Fans” and supporters want you to take whatever time you need....it’s not about us. We appreciate you, no matter how often you post videos or reply to a tweet...sooo not what’s important! It’s been amazing being able to be a part of your journey and we all look forward to you living your best life. Take care.

Thank you for your honesty. As someone who also struggles with anxiety and depression, I can relate to so much of what you’re saying. It’s hard enough to “put on a happy face” in my daily life, I can’t imagine the pressure you feel to put on one for social media. Be well, put yourself first. We are here for you in whatever capacity you need us to be. ❤️

Your honesty is so refreshing! If only more people on social media were brave enough to speak truthfully about how tough life is a lot of the time, then it would be much easier for the rest of us to talk about how we really feel, and hopefully be able to support each other through these tough times. Hearing you talk about the raw experiences you are going through and that so many of the people here commenting are also going through, is so encouraging, because I too can relate so well to everything that’s said! Severe anxiety and depression is really disabling. I can only leave the house for medical appointments and have just spent the last 2 days agonising over how to turn down yet another social invitation, just a family meal, but I really can’t do it. I think we all just need to be kinder to ourselves. To accept that it is OK to not be OK and that actually if our normal is spending most of our time alone, out of choice, then that is what we need to do right now to get by. We are all unique and if we need to do things a little differently to other people to get through life then that’s OK. We are not all designed to be in the spotlight, the life and soul of the party. Sometimes our pain and anxiety is such a difficult burden to bear that it’s all we can do, just to get through the day, in whatever way we can. And we are doing it, and should be proud of ourselves and what we achieve! You are not failing at life because you are finding it such a struggle, you are a fighter and you are going to win this battle. Just keep going, one small step at a time, one day at a time, and be at peace with that, and with all the awesome things you do achieve, despite having such challenges to face. Don’t think about tomorrow, just concentrate on today, and getting through each minute, each hour. Even the smallest things, that other people may not even consider, like getting dressed, opening the curtains, speaking, these are all big achievements. Don’t worry about your eating, just be kind to yourself, and keep dreaming of the happiest place on earth! You’ve got this! And the people that matter will be there for you, whatever happens. I know so well how you are feeling. Hugs, Ruby x

Thank you for being so honest and sincere. It helps to know that I am not the only one who makes excuses not to leave the house. I have to talk myself into getting up for work every day, then talk myself into taking a shower and then again to actually leave. I am exhausted before I even get to work, and some days, I am not successful and stay home. I hope you have a roommate or someone you are close to who will help ease you into going somewhere non stressful, just to get out for a little while. Many times, I find that the hardest part is forcing myself to leave and once I am out, I am OK. I hope things get better for you soon. Take care of yourself. ❤️

The fact that you are as young as you are and you get that you need a simpler life, says a lot about your recovery. Most people just go about their lives stuffing it all in and trying to keep busy to avoid the thinking and feeling. Kudos to you for understanding that your well being is the most important thing for your and for everyone you love. My anxiety makes me feel like i have been shot out of a gun. I'm prickly and sensitive and difficult. The kinder person in me doesn't want to inflict that on my friends, and that throws me into depression. It's a dirty cycle for a sensitive person. Bless you for showing it to people. I think your are great.

This video shows the true reality of depression and anxiety - i first saw you on Adam's channel in the Disney vlogs and you seemed so confident and comfortable in yourself I would have never said you were suffering. Which is so stupid of me to even think and assume. I know how difficult it is to have these struggles and sometimes do what people think is just normal daily life. Thank you for sharing this - I've really grown to love watching you and Adam, it really brightens my day. Thanks Gary! True example that you should never make assumptions about anyone's life, you never know the true extent of what anyone else is going through.

I struggle every day with PTSD/OCD related anxiety, little things that shouldn't be overwhelming just are sometimes. I completely understand how you're feeling. But you are clearly an incredibly strong person. Be gentle with yourself, it's okay if you don't reply to all of your comments, or upload regularly. When you do, and when you can, you bring so much brightness into people's lives. It's always a great surprise when you post, but it's never an expectation. Do what you want to do, do what makes you happy, and we'll all be happy for you!

I love the honesty of this vlog, and it makes me want to hug you and share a nice cuppa! I found you through your trip to Disney this past September with Adam, and all of those videos. I binge-watched them all, and now I'm even more hyped for my own trip to Disney in the fall this year. As an anxious person myself, I can completely relate to the feeling of exhaustion with planning. And not to sound like a repeat of all the lovely folks you have following you and commenting that we're here for you. But we are. We're here for you. From people following you since the beginning up to the ones just finding you. Keep strong, and I hope you can find some ways to push past those tough times and live your best life, girl! Treat yo'self! ♥♥♥

I just wanted to thank you, Gary C. You helped me to realize that I suffer from anxiety just from watching your video. I've always blamed it on "being a Type A" person, but the truth is that I feel the need to plan everything in my life step-by-step, because if I don't I lash out due to frustration and anxiety. It has caused issues throughout my life and in my relationships. I need to work on this. Thanks again.

Gary, my love, your honesty is refreshing. As with many people, I have a mild form of anxiety. It rears it's ugly head mostly late at night. I used to call it FOMO because I couldn't really name it and FOMO seemed the easiest way to explain why I couldn't sleep, to everyone. I've had to learn a few tricks to keep it in check but I've mostly done it. The biggest thing I have had to learn was how to say no without explaining myself. 'No thank you, I can't come because XYZ' became 'no thank you'. So much anxiety left me when I wasn't always scrambling for an reason as to why I don't wish to, or just couldn't, do what ever it was being asked of me. But I digress. Thanks for sharing my newly found internet vlogger. May peace be with you.

I feel this so much. Today, or even the last three weeks, is not your forever. I’m sending you love and support. And “healing” in whatever capacity that means for you and however you want that to look like. Your honesty is amazing because you’re not only being open and honest with us, but with yourself too. And sometimes being honest with ourselves is the hardest. You did look into that camera and saw yourself looking back, and that’s super hard. I hope you have an amazing holiday with Adam and that you have moments of peace, contentment, pure happiness and laughter.

Heyy i came here because I saw you in Adam his blogs. I struggle with those things too. And it really means a lot how you are honest, and it’s just so relatable. Not being able to look at yourself. It makes me so sad, and hearing someone else say it makes me feel understood. Don’t worry about ‘vengeance’ like do you even want to be entertaining to those people? Do you want to meet their standards if it makes you unhappy? Nah. You have to do what makes you happy. Take care of yourself in these times!

I've recently started watching your vlogs because of your most recent video about having anxiety. After seeing THIS video and crying throughout the entire clip, I feel like I'm not alone. I finally found someone who understands how I feel. You dont have to reply to anyone's comments, not even this one, just keep pushing forward and healing and that, in itself, would be better than ANY reply you could ever give💙.

I just wanted to say that I totally get the whole anxiety/planning thing. I worry about most things and the only way I can deal with it is that once something occurs to me then I need to find a solution in case it should actually happen. The weird thing is that I always seem calm in a crisis to most people - and it’s because it’s rare that something takes me by surprise - I have already imagined the very worst and found a “plan B” for that 🙂. The downside is that I have unnecessarily whittled away on any number of things - the upside is that I always know where the fire exits are, I actually listen to safety announcements and I know where fire drill muster points are - it’s as though I am risk assessing my own life. I am 52 now though - and while the way I am used to distress me as “not normal” - I am ok with it now. You have to find a way to navigate through life that works for you and be ok with the way you are. Also on a slightly more cheerful note - I am loving your t shirts on the Disney Cruise vlogs - did you design them yourself? Take care of you and accept you because you are a very heart warming person - and that’s an amazing thing to be! Xx

Ah Gary, you’re so strong putting yourself out there. I can relate so so much. This year for me is about taking back control, growth and healing. I’m so done with just existing, just trying to make it through each day, the negative thoughts, my inner voice saying ‘what’s the point’ to everything. We deserve so much more. It’s a f**king battle living with anxiety and depression, and I’m going through something very triggering at the moment, but I’m done with letting it win, it’s exhausting. We’re warriors, and we can do this. It won’t beat us 💪💪💪 you do you! Sending much love xxx

Dear Gary, Firstly if a catchphrase puts a smile on your face, then go for it..... Now the serious stuff!, It's a tough time of year for most anxiety and depression sufferers, so there are many of us who can relate to this vlog. Firstly the fact you made it and admitted fully to yourself that it's not a great time is of course the first sign you are ready to heal again. Remember your CBT.... Feeling this is 'goodbye' is the irrational fatalist side that rears it's head, but just as you did in this vlog, take the time to rationalise it and see it for what it is, a negative anxiety reaction...well done for talking through it. Secondly remember to restart the basic of setting yourself a small task everyday, nothing big or grand, just something achievable.. go outside and stand on the street for 2 minutes and then congratulate yourself for going out, plan your lunch and a specific time to have it that day, congratulate yourself for doing as planned... never forget to tell yourself well done for doing anything you planned to... small positive steps one at a time And i you fail a task, remember to tell yourself it's ok to have a few goes at doing it, somethings are harder sometimes, reshedule and reachieve!. I suggest you plan a few follow up vlogs to this one, share your journey with us, it may help you set a few tiny goals to tell us about.... and remember to reward yourself for sharing anything with us..... I suggest Walls Swedish Glace dairy free ice cream, just like real ice cream and you can have as much as you like... a whole tub... As you are always telling us 'Go on, Treat yourself Girl!!'

Gary, I'm only 4 minutes into this video and I paused to say thank you so much. I'm an almost 47 year old woman from Canada with what I thought was nothing in common with you but my Disney obsession. All of a sudden, I feel you're speaking my truth. I sit here in tears as you're graciously explaining what it is to be me, in my head....how hard every single day is. Some days are so tiring just trying be out and about doing the things that need to get done that I feel I need to rest for a week. Every single person in my life just tells me it's all stupid and to get over it, they don't understand how hard it is. My mind does not rest or settle until everything is planned and in order. I'm the so called "party pooper" as the thought of being spontaneous makes me sometimes physically ill. I will finish watching your video now but please know how much it has meant to me so far to know I am not alone and neither are you.

Anyone reasonable doesn’t expect you tubers to reply to them, you have your own lives and we share a small tip of a big iceberg! It takes a lot to be that honest and good on you for taking that step! I sincerely hope now you’re home from Disney etc, the Disney blues don’t set in but just remember this is about you, for you and your welfare is number one!! Take care for yourself and do what will make you happy and healthy, big hugs xx

I have recently found your channel as through brogan and adam. And just watched this. I'm going to show my son (12) he loves you in disney with adam but think it will be good for him to see that's not every day. He struggles a lot with anxiety and depression but nobody would ever know as at school he is happy and life and soul of party but at home on his own he isn't and that's ok. It's ok to not be ok. Its recognising it and getting help if you need it.

I just came across your video today. I hope you are feeling better. I know it is cliche but sometimes it helps me to think "No rain, no rainbows" or if you want to Disney it up and think of Frozen one can say "no snow, no snowmen."

Corona has done a number on all of us that are anxious. My son is very like you in not going out but every day I made him go to our letterbox to check the mail (even though the mail only comes every two days) but some days that was all he could do but some days he will go to town and be okay but then the very next day he’s back in his room. Thank you for making this ok and please take one day at a time for YOU and no one else. 😀

GARY what you don't realise is how naturally talented you are,to me you should be on the london stage or something, when i watch the adam vlogs which are ace,i like the ones that you are both in the best, because the banter/ chemistry is so naturally funny, please dont reply to this because you are going through some horrible shite at the moment, and i really feel for you,but actually its the world that can be horrible, and when your ready, get out there and give em what for!!! , you don't know me and i don't know you, but im a 55 year old nurse who looks after poorly babies ,and after a hard 12 hour shift i can watch your vlogs and you make me smile ,and cheer me up,so please don't underestimate anything you do,look after yourself and when you are ready we will be here ❤❤❤❤❤❤ xxx

My heart aches that you have to battle anxiety and depression. I myself deal with anxiety so can relate to just not wanting to go out at times and deal with people. You are such a kind and genuine soul and I really hope you will stick to doing videos only when you feel like it. We all love you and want you to be well. We'll be right here whenever you do post, but take care of YOU. YOU are important!!! Sending hugs!

Love your honesty. Putting yourself and your own health first seems very simple to some, but for others it’s like climbing a mountain. You need to just do you, and know that there are so many people behind you to support. X

Gary, this is such an important video. You don't need to explain yourself to anyone - this is your channel and, as you said, this is your hobby. Your hobby provides us with so much joy, but I can guarantee that your subscribers wouldn't want you to put this channel before your own health. And if there's anyone that doesn't feel that way, they can absolutely do one. I've also dealt quite significantly with anxiety & depression and you end up putting everyone else first as a matter of course. You're so right to talk about self care and I sincerely hope that you're able to quiet that voice in your head telling you to put others first. 2020 is the year of self care and you deserve to give yourself the space to heal. Whether you feel it or not right now, you're a truly wonderful human and I wish you all the best.

I honestly think Adam is very good for you. This is a very good video because many people suffer from this problem. Please take care of yourself because many people love and support you. Real life is VERY hard my mom used to say “What doesn’t break you will make you stronger.” You don’t have to reply to every comment-no one could do that.

I also suffer with anxiety and depression and think this wasn’t just brave but also helped to outline mental health issues in a way which was raw and informative but also a lightheartedly showing your optimism. I wish you the best of luck with recovering and getting back outside, and honestly who cares what you do, do what’s best for you! I hope you enjoy your disney cruise too, get a bit of pixie dust on you, think of some wonderful thoughts and you’ll be flying in no time✨

Thank you for your honesty. My daughter has depression and anxiety. She's young and it's very hard as a parent to see her daily struggles. We too are focusing on a Disney cruise soon and also look forward to getting away from the daily. It's been really hard in the last few months for our family and especially for her. I see your strength in your honesty and it's an amazing thing. I know this is for you, but you are giving me hope for my child in what you do. Continue to love you some Gary C and do what brings you joy!

Having watched your beautiful, loveable character on Adams vlogs which I only started watching to get me over post WDW sadness… I wanted to see you on your own. I suffer from menopausal anxiety and depression. I really understand what you are saying, I know this was a hole ago but as I’ve only just found it, I wanted to offer my understanding and empathy. You are amazing!! 🤗

Thank you Gary, I’m quite a newbie to you’re channel and I’ve got to say I don’t think I’ve watched anyone who is quite so honest and sincere. For someone who also suffers with anxiety and depression I commend your bravery for speaking so openly on here about not only the recovery and the better times but the vicious set backs that unfortunately happen with this illness. Like you said the pressures of social media and keeping up appearances are forever making our generation constantly self aware but nether the less it does allow people to connect with like minded people ect ... keep doing what you’re doing and take care of yourself :)
