Jo-ann Rosen, Senior Plum Village Dharma-Teacher, co-founder of EMBRACE (Embodying Mindfulness-Based Resilience and Community Empowerment) Sangha, and author of Unshakeable: Trauma-informed Mindfulness for Collective Awakening; and Dr. Ameeta Dudani, Clinical Psychologist, Mindfulness & Yoga Teacher, and Aspirant of the Order of Interbeing, gave a 4-day residential retreat.
In this talk, we will look at mindfulness practice through Neuroscientific and Engaged Buddhism lenses to get a new angle on how to find stability and joy while facing the many challenges of being human. The retreat will offer body-centered and trauma-sensitive approaches to mindfulness practice that stem from a deeper understanding of our physical, emotional, and social inheritances. We hope you will join us as we experience first-hand ways of expanding our range of engagement with this very moment through familiar practices of sitting, moving, eating, and playing in ways that might be new and unexpected.
