@@wesleyward5901 Because it's based off the source mod called "The Hidden" which was the monster's name, and the mod was admittedly inspired by the Predator films (heavily armed professional soldiers being hunted by invisible creature who prefers ambushes and melee). But calling it The Hidden instead of calling it the Predator allows the game mode to be simple in mechanics to pull off the invisible man vs. soldiers scenario without being pressured to make the set up accurate to the Predator games (putting in more refined parkour, adding plasma cannons, using alien tech, etc.). It also helps avoid copyright issues in case the copyright owners decide to be a jerkass and go after them for some reason.

Utterly legendary content, super-memeable, and if you think about it, it's where the popularity for paranoia and asymmetric games started incubating. You the the abominable unseen fiend reminds me of the average mantis blade user in Cyberpunk 2077 who also has optical camo equipped. Leaping great distances, killing fully armed soldiers with ease and disappearing before you can even see the threat. This mod is good at representing how scary the average ganger would be of a mantis blade V. Also the cold efficiency of Jay saying his friends like a genuine xenomorph is chilling my Emperor.
