I really enjoyed and loving this episode on 'grey area (in relationships)'! The perspectives from male and female gave me a good picture of how easy it is to enter a grey area; not communicating directly to the boy or girl, playing games and second-guessing. I absolutely like what Pepita shared here and knowing she, like anyone out there, could change her views on communicating and taking the courage to stand up for themselves. 'Care less about if they like you, Care more about if you even like them'. I'd like to see you guys do an episode on Emotionally Available Boys/Girls? yeyy?

Totally been there. Was in that grey area in JC, then after army + studies it's just drift lor, plus didn't really have people to push and then parents and church being 'wait first'. Well ok so I wait until I single forever lor hahaha. I think the only thing was that the longer I was out the more I regretted not making that move and I almost felt I hurt people or led them on. Heck, good news, we are still friends and still keep in contact, we still religiously message each other on our bdays.

i've had a feelings for a guy for one year, i think. this happend few years ago, me and him met through app, we chatting, talked for days,months and almost a year eh. Of course at that time i asked him what are we, and he said ya just let it flow lah, i still need to make sure my feelings for you. Then I was ok, at least not so grey anymore, but a month later, he was dating with a girl. :) end of friendship

I have a lot of grey area relationships, it’s pretty common in Indonesian dating scene which is really sad. Especially when you are above 20, the chances of being just in the grey area is bigger than proceeding into a relationship. It’s usually grey area for a significant period and then you’re done and most of the time you can’t be friends anymore with that person. At my age, it’s a milestone you if you are in a relationship, that shows how much grey area practices are there in addition to the presence of terms like situationships, FWBs, etc. Being in a relationship is like a crime cos you’re expected to be serious from your partner and even peers, there’s always constant pressure to marry, etc. I guess that’s why these terms happen and grey area exists.

I had been in a grey area as well. I really like this person and I know that he likes me also. We would text each other a lot and even go for movies and lunches together but got another Friend of him thirdwheeling us. I always try to hint/signal him but he always brush it off. Then oneee dayyyy, I found out from his Friend that he has a gffff in another country. Why he never told me and kept flirting with meee?After that, I stopped pursuing, going out everything and didn’t text unless need ask sth. He try to get me back and ask for movie dates but I don’t want aldy... I feel lied to and all my respect for him is gone.....After some time, we met again one day and I spilled out everything... I told him I liked him back then and about all the signals I gave. He said he know also but he doesn’t want to get into rs that’s why he play dumb. But back then he continued to go out with me and never tell me about his gf... He aldy had a gf and want to enjoy with me? What kind of mentalityyyy??? Want to get two birds at the same time is it? Wtf.Mind blown.... really cannot understand....now I aldy have a good loyal bf who always make sure everything is transparent between two of us... and that is his third wheeling Friend 🤣(plot twist)

i've had feelings for a guy for more than a year now. a few months ago, we started dating. however, the problem here is that he has told me several times that he's not looking to commit anytime soon, aka he doesn't want to get into a relationship and is not willing to "settle down". he also has qualities of a bad boy and currently has multiple vices/red flags which i wouldn't want in a partner.... but i really love him and would wanna take this relationship further. what should i do?

i think just shoot your shot and tell him you like him first eh ! Like never assume if he like/ don't like you unless you're rly rly sure. Kudos to you for being clear w what u want girl! Then if y'all get tgt, in some point of your rs u need to sit down w him and discuss how to reduce the "red flags" and compromise, cus communication is rly key... Like if you don't like smt about him which might affect your rs, u need to tell him abt it. Even if it may be uneasy or scary to talk about it with him but you have to try. Because A r/s rly only works well if 2 ppl talk to each other ya communication rly key. Yea maybe jus let him know how you feel first and see how from there~

I wouldn't follow the advice given above. It means he's trying to keep his options open and will not prioritize you. On top of that, he has multiple vices which are red flags to you. Don't waste your time and effort on such a guy, go find another guy who will always prioritize you and have the qualities you are looking for. You can do so much better.
