Emotional intelligence is very important in life and is key in power play however many people miss the depth in the lessons others are meant to bring by strategizing feelings. A healthier route is to learn your internal world and its triggers and how to meter it appropriately ( while still feeling the feels and processing them)… plus faking emotional control can lead to detachment and disassociation when not routed in authentic understanding of self

I don’t agree. Most people take this as a sign to dump all their feelings on a girl or a guy. Self control and regulation is a necessity in the human world, there’s nothing wrong with regulating it yourself and understand where that feeling is coming from, or if it’s genuine or not. Understanding yourself goes first before you want to let a girl/guy understand your feelings. You’re supposed to build up a bond with her, and let the emotions build up slowly with each other.
