Welcome to The Frey Life daily vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and life has changed dramatically - including our son, Elijah, joining our family in December 2021. Hi Peter - I’ve been dealing with Long Covid for 2.5 years now (and vlogging about it on my channel!) and my #1 piece of advice to you is to REST as much as humanly possible. No intense physical activity until you are fully recovered. Too many people prolong their illness by pushing through the symptoms.

Might have to follow you! I had covid in March this year. Sure I had chronic illness before that, but since then my body has been destroyed. The fatigue is what is getting me. Sometimes I cant even lift my arms! Many other symptoms. It really sucks!

My body aches so badly too. I’d love to be able to know how people with chronic illness are affected in the long term, but we won’t know that for years.

That's true . I have had 6 brain surgeries , meningitis, intracranial shunt and brain hemorrhage and many times my family or friends have told me every time they get a headache they think about my pain and understands it more . It is beautiful to put yourself in someone else's shoes and feel empathy for other's struggles

Getting a man to go to the doctor is like asking fish to ride a bicycle!! My husband got an infection on his leg. Started off as a large scratch from doing the gardening.. I made sure it was bathed and had antiseptic cream on it. Apparently that was not enough. His leg as I said became infected. I told him to see a nude or doctor. He left it. Just kept cleaning it ect. Eventually be became really poorly. Shaking and high temperature..I told him I was fed up and if he didn't get medical help I would leave him. He is ok now thanks to seeing a nurse once a week plus strong antibiotics. Men!!🙄🤔

We had good friends staying with us. I noticed our Man friend had issues with his foot but he said it was okay. Then the day before they left he showed me his foot. Boy! Was it red and swollen, he was having issues putting a shoe on. My immediate reaction was he needed to see a doctor asap. There was no evidence on why it should be red and swollen. Note, I knew he was a Diabetic plus he was carrying extra weight. A couple of months later I got an email saying he finally saw a Doctor and immediately referred to a Diabetic Clinic. The long and short of it was he was off work for 12 months, not permitted to walk on the foot and was being fitted for a special boot.

My husband is currently sick. We don't know if it's Covid or not because he didn't test and he won't (Personal reasons) He just has been sleeping the last few days. I check on him every few hours but for the most part I'm just letting him sleep. He feels miserable, Chills, feeling hot, fatigue and a little bit of a sore throat. I feel fine. I'm hoping that he gets better and I don't catch it as I take care of my 93 year old grandfather and he relies on me to be there. I'm praying that things improve and continue to improve for peter. Way to go Mary for taking care of Peter and Eli. You are all amazing.

My family had COVID back in July and everyone got over it within 5 days, but it took me a month and I really am not fully over mine, so it may take you a little longer. My brother who has a bad heart and bad lungs, he got over it well before I did. Love and Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Hi Peter and Mary, Peter please go to Dr. To get check my uncle had covid in the beginning of the year and then had a cough he couldn't get rid of and he finally went to the Dr. And found out he has stage for lung cancer with 4 to 6 months to live. Stay healthy

I have long COVID. In rehab now 3 days a week. The sinus meds have been such a savior to me. Praying for you. I am 8 months out w several underlying issues. But that freaking headache!!

It’s odd how everyone responds to CoVid differently. I am 7 weeks post and I’m still struggling. I had similar symptoms . My husband said I moaned all night. I had a fever of 101… ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. I’m gradually getting better. I still do not have much energy. Sending prayers!

If and when you read post from people who think they matter if they quit watching you, just remember there are a whole bunch more that love your channel and will not stop. How many adults will not go to the doctor for different reasons. These people are so unreasonable.

Hi!!! Truth be told!! Watching Peter and Mary since the beginning,with many years nursing experience, Peter and Mary chose to expose this on their you tube channel!! A while back I started buying the white corn tortillas from Walmart and we use them to make all kinds of tacos or breakfast burritos with them we make a Scramble with onion zucchini eggs and cheese and put it in the toasted wrap

I can understand and agree that having your lungs bother you and be concerning must give you a good insight to what Mary must feel like.. Reminds us of that Scripture in Romans that says. Peter, would be something to participate in some of research and data collection on long term Covid as they are finally trying to base recommendations for treatment and policies on patient reporting. Call CDC, or ask hospital where Mary goes.

I kno alot of ppl get bronchitis after covid that turns into pneumonia and get put on a Zpk n steroids for it aftr. My momma was sicker after covid than she was with covid. I have lupus n when i got covid last thanksgiving and was sick sick for almost 5 weeks. I still dont feel "NORMAL" My rheumatologist calls it a covid Long Haller

You should check your lungs. Lung pain is indicater of pneumonia you might need antibiotics and an X-ray. My parents gone through two Covids and after the second covid they still have scars on their lungs from the first one. You should check it.

Post Covid is real. My husband ended up with shingles bad immediately after Covid. My best friend had strange symptoms after Covid and lost a ton of hair. Covid can cause chaos for some people.

Also know that many large medical hospitals, are studying long Covid. My friend had to deal with it, coming and going, for about 6 months. Going to the hospital with the study, he felt so much better by finding out there were others having his symptoms. He's feeling 100% again, but he said talking to the "experts" (as new as they are), helped him know it would come and go, and eventually GO for GOOD!

I had symptoms for 3 months with lasting effects with my lungs ever since getting COVID back in 2020.I do have bad Asthma so I'm thinking that played a part in my recovery but when I had mine I had a really severe headache that was worse than a migraine and almost 104 temp for the first week. I also had flu like symptoms for the first 3 days and it felt like I had a ton of bricks sitting on my chest for the whole time I had symptoms. Tha was the worst part was my chest. I also was taking care of my infant granddaughter that I am raising but myself and had no help with her for fear of someone catching COVID. She never did get sick or had any symptoms of COVID which I found crazy since she was with me 24/7 during¢: this time! I can understand where Peters coming from. So glad that you Mary were able to get over yours without any real issues and not needing to be hospitalized.

Seriously. Plus they are able to monitor his oxygen level and he stated that he didn’t feel like it was in his chest. They are smart people and pretty medically savvy. They would’ve gone in if they felt it necessary.

Peter, your color is off, you don't look well at all. I was watching another channel on youtube, Cog Hill Family Farm. Both Brook and Jason has covid. They were sick just like you and Mary only Jason had a lingering cough, like you. Off and on of feeling OK and not feeling OK. He finally went to the doctor and had a chest x-ray and he had phenomena. I urge you to take care of yourself before you get worse. All the best.

I was diagnosed with long-COVID a few months after I had COVID November 2020 and I’ve had bouts of issues and symptoms similar to Peter’s since to this day. It also made my autonomic disorder worse. It’s awful!

Poor Peter this was my best friend s journey through COVID - it just wouldn’t leave and finally he got a booster ( for a diff reason) and one day after booster it was gone , but did he have a rough time yeah , I hope Peter fairs better , it’s brutal

I had covid 1st around Christmas...it was HORRIBLE!!! lasted forever. Recovered, 3 weeks ago I got Covid again... symptoms went away and the cough alone came back just like yours! I cannot get relief from it.
