Beirut explosion - mushroom shaped blast rips through Lebanese capital

A massive explosion has killed at least ten people and left hundreds injured after the blast devastated part of Lebanon's capital Beirut.
Pictures show buildings destroyed, people walking wounded, and a sea of wreckage after the blast that could be heard some 125 miles away in Cyprus.
Lebanon's state news agency NNA and two security sources said the blast had occurred in the port area where there are warehouses housing explosives, reports Reuters.
Nearby buildings around the port have been leveled, windows and doors have been blown out, and fires burn as smoke plumes billow across Beirut.
The Government Palace - the home of Lebanon's PM Hassan Diab - was damaged in the blast, and his wife and daughter were injured in the explosion.

@@mikail8670 A fireworks factory next to an AMFO deposit is very suspicious as it can be used to make crude rockets and bombs. It is also a terrorist weapon of choice. With AMFO you get a lot of bang for your buck and is conveniently used as fertilizer. Instead of making crude weapons they could've given it to farmers for free like free. A much better way to improve an impoverished nation.For example; Monsanto got rich selling the unused military AMFO and after WW2 as fertilizer, to boost farming. Now is the time for peace. Make peace with thy neighbours. Trust me we feel your pain. Now is time to join with others. This moment now the war is over. over for good it is finished and no more, nothing. Make friends with thy enemy and you shall be stronger. Much Aid is needed and i hope it will come to you but curing the symptoms will not cure the disease.

I was in a doctor appointment during the explosion , I was lying on the bed and it shook and the entire room went silent .. like the angel of death was among us . Be being the innocent soul I was sprung up from the bed and sung happily “ it’s an earthquake “ and that is the only thing I remember for the next few minutes ... after I heard the explosion all I could hear is just my own screams ... even though I was walking , talking , and communicating I couldn’t remember anything I said or did . I came to only when I was in the car heading towards my home ... then my father and sister told me how they barged into the room and dragged me from the bed where I was in the fetal position crying , and how dad risked his own life by putting us under him and hunching over us so than any debris from the building fell on him and not us ... thankfully god decided that it was not our time and not that much debris fell ... only dust . We weren’t even that close to the explosion and we were this traumatized , my heart is with everyone that was very close to it . I can only thank god for keeping my father and my little sister safe ❤️💙🧿
