Beirut: Lebanon

I recently visited Beirut in Lebanon for my best mate’s wedding. Whilst there I managed to catch a few shots on my Sony DSX-WX500 point-and-shoot camera, here is the result! I did what I could with the footage I was able to discretely catch. Its an amazing city and must not be missed!

Sad and beautiful at the same time. I used to snorkel and spear fish at pigeon rock almost every day.

Such a shame about Lebanon. It's a beautiful country. It used to be a tourist holiday hot-spot and there are numerous vintage travel posters to be found on Google hailing Beirut as a chic destination on a par with the French Riviera. Lebanon is on the Mediterranean too. I hope it can be restored to its former glory and become a vibrant tourist destination again.

from the video i see only slums and very few touristic spots of Beirut.. didn't you have a guide?! That's definetaly not what Beirut is.

We were there for a local wedding, not a holiday, as a result we weren't in the touristy areas. No guide, we just did our own thing.
