It’s such a gorgeous song! It was written by Gorran, but I love the harmonies that Ren and Romain added. I believe this was one of the first videos they filmed together. The church is stunning! And you’re right, you can’t truly replicate the acoustics. The instrument Ren played is a melodica. He never ceases to amaze me. It added so much to the character of the song.

When that melodica kicks in, I just love it. A melancholic accordion ...

Apparently Ren is playing a Melodica ❤ I've never seen one, but that is what other RENagades have said. Another nice reaction ❤

REN is playing a melodica. This is one of my favourites it’s absolutely beautiful. Not my usual style of music but I love it. Gorran wrote this one 🖤

Thank you so much for reacting to this video. I don't think it has nearly enough views. I always suggest this one. Personally I love this song the best. It's hauntingly beautiful. The first time I watched it and saw Ren playing the Melodica I was shocked and impressed. Ty again for a great reaction.

“What do you see with the eyes in your head? Pitiful struggle, or are you content? Fear and anger so garishly clothed, resignation and ignorance tied up in bows A king to a pauper, a sad wizened clown A joke an' a punchline, people all 'round Rose-tinted glasses and no-one is sane A big waltzing blindfold, we are what we play We are what we play, and nothing is sane What can he hear with his ears in his hands? Her silently weeping, his head in the sand Patiently lurking in water in wine, he'll drown by her tears, or choke on his time For what we've forsaken and taken too soon Before murdering old mother, we'd dance on the moon Deaf to the thunder that silently cracks, we're holding our breath until her collapse What do you feel with your heart in your chest? Some few thousand years, could soon come to rest Do you feel the butcher? The bullet that bores With corkscrewing chaos and mighty a roar What do you feel with your heart in your chest? Some few thousand years could soon come to rest On the shoulders of man and his bag full of bombs Bell tolling destruction our final swan song.”

What a f***in amazing song this is. I so hope this mega band will come back together at some point , because together they are outstanding. I love Ren, I love the big push. My favourite all time band Jethro Tull. I never in a million years thought I'd be vibing to hip hop and rap 😅

Very simon and Garfunkel-esque is right. I showed this to my mom a while back and she agreed about that folksy sound 😊💜💜

Just beautiful! We used to play the melodica without the tube, blew in it as with a flute or recorder, where the tube is attached to the instrument. Talking about 60 years ago. It never became a very popular instrument 🙂. But it sounds very nice and suiting here. Thanks for your reaction! ❤️🕊️

This is such a beautiful song and the harmonies are incredible. The location really adds to the feel of the song and the harmonics. Ren playing the melodica is so cool! Haven't seen one since I was a kid. Great reaction! Really appreciate your insights ❤❤

You’ve got a beautiful voice yourself. It’s Ren Romain and Gorran ( not sure on spelling ) but Romain is a beautiful human and I have lyme disease and have fought a similar battle 🦠💚🫶🏻 Thank you for supporting these young men I thought I had heard every song by them but first time hearing this one. I’m bedridden rt now watching your reaction. God bless all who suffer 💚💚💚🫶🏻🙏🙏 I have never seen Ren play that instrument but I loved it 💚💚💚

Melodica. Sounds a bit like a harmonica, has a French sound to it here.
