The bassist on the right is the bands original player , the one on the left is her replacement , but when she is back in town they double up . They are one the tightest bands I've ever listened to

Juna Serita is the bassist on the right, she has her own KZbin channel, and she still plays with this group and the Jazz Avengers. Japan has a lot of excellent bass players and drummers you will probably like. On the rock side there is Misa (bass) and Akane (drums) from Band Maid are exceptional, and the band Trident has a great drummer and bassist too. On the more metal side Haraguchi (bass) and Murata Tamu (drums) from Nemophila are excellent as well. I could list probably a dozen or more rock and metal bands from Japan that are filled with excellent musicians.

I understand that the members of "Tokyo Groove Jiyoshi" work as session musicians, that's why they met and formed the trio that, as @Steven Mcmorris and @Mark Hayes already commented, has been changing its members, but the one with the most projection is Juna Serita, the original bass player, what I didn't know is that they occasionally get together in a two-bass player line-up, which is a gift ;) What I also agree with is the quality of Japanese musicians and especially with the mention of MISA and Akane, bassist and drummer of the band BAND-MAID, (you should check them out sometime, they might surprise you hehehehe), but in the field of jazz there are two other musicians that I think are really outstanding, pianist Hiromi Uehara and drummer Senri Kawaguchi (in Japan she is nicknamed 手数姫, translated "Princess of multiple beats"), both are incredible, but if you want to see something really unusual and spectacular I recommend this song by Hiromi in duet with Colombian harpist Edmar Castañeda, another incredible musician whose harp playing is mind-blowing; ) kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJqllpiDZcyab8k Greetings from Spain ;) PS. The sax player Harumo Imai also plays sax in Phillip Woo's band..he's a former keyboard player who played with Roy Ayers Ubiquity & Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly

Sarita started up on guitar but she said she could not figure out six strings so she changed over 2 bass guitar because she figured she could do four strings better and you see what the outcome is
