PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE listen to Dimash sing this song when he was competing on the "Singer." He wrote this song at nineteen. I think you will really appreciate the other version, especially with the orchestra and the background singers. It is too beautiful for words. Dimash still does vocal training ever day for 3-5 hours.

Indeed that was the D8 :) He was asked later in an interview if it was planned, and he said that it wasn`t. Other times he hit an E7-G7 in this song in other performances, when he chose to use a whistle. This time, his voice closed up for a split second during the soprano run before that, and he was a bit frustrated (which is why he waved the mic the second time in frustration and nothing was coming out), so when he decided to fix the mishap, the D8 came out :)) New definition of "bouncing back" 😁 Leaving sopranos and pianos behind and talking directly to dolphins 😂 Or aliens 🤣

The highest note, last time I checked, was just a couple steps above this and was done in a quiet studio setting to achieve the world record. No one has come close in a live performance of a song to what Dimash did. Amazing.
