This is the second time you mentioned j-hope's low singing voice (the one with the mint mic). I love that. He's actually one of the rappers but he's a sub-vocalist so you'll notice he sometimes raps, sometimes sings, sometimes does both, sometimes does a hybrid melodic rap. He's known for his versatility and often gets the part of the song that's a little different structurally because (as the boys say) he's like water and can adapt to fill whatever space they need. So you just never know what he's going to do in a song but you know it'll be exactly right for it. Anyway, it was just cool to me that you complimented his melodic rap on a technical level. I think people think of it sometimes as "not quite singing/not quite rapping" but it's really, as you pointed out, an entirely different skill that is difficult to perfect. j-hope has a big bag of tricks. :) OH! He's actually releasing a solo album next month (this next era for the boys will be a series of solo albums before they go back to group albums). HE'S HEADLINING AT LOLLAPALOOZA TOO!! Main stage! The closer of the whole show with an hour-long set! We're all very excited!!

I. I really like when someone who react to them talks in musical terms cause i get educated in same way i can appreciate their talent more. II. Among the 3 new songs, I like this one the most because it shows how they are different from other artists that ive grew up before - they care and show their love back to their fans, ARMY III. Please also react to their Room Live Festa 2021 and Tink Desk (etc lol) IV. I hope you dig more of their background too along w reacting to their music so you can see the connection/message of their songs.. Good one is 'Introduction to 7 members by Taylor Nakomoto' and The Rise of Bangtan Series (more in depth journey) ps. enjoy the rabbit hole ^^

They definitely have an excellent team of producers, sound engineers, sound mixers and so on. You’ll also see in their music videos that they definitely don’t skimp on production there. The great thing is too that they’ve worked with the same people pretty much for nine years now which I think always goes to show that they must be at a good level of professionalism and that they appreciate hard work and quality
@MarinaEariel2 жыл бұрын
As they work so often with the same teams there is an amazing level of trust and understanding. I remember the director saying something like "I knew you would say that" we've seen on Jimin's Black Swan solo recording, or Yoongi in That That's behind the scenes saying "I know what you like" to the director

The boys mentioned earlier today that they will be taking a break from working together as a group. We'll get solo albums from the members at some point but nothing has been laid out timeline wise. I can say that this song hits a lot harder when knowing the place that it comes from but the members are still giving us love/support and telling us that we'll be together no matter what.
@WhalienDNA2 жыл бұрын
They are not taking a break from working together as a group, they are going to do both solo and group work simultaneously. They are releasing official solo albums instead of mixtapes but will still be working on group projects too. This has been cleared up more with the announcement from Bighit and JK’s live.

Welcome to the rabbit hole. Given their talk with army yesterday, I’m almost jealous of how much content you have ahead of you, if you’re interested! They have so many songs in so many genres, some solo, some with a few members, and everything better live. I’d recommend black swan, fake love, or magic shop( which is esp touching live, because of army)💜💜💜

Rabbit hole is exactly how I express how I came to love BTS. Started with short KZbin videos to watching all the content I could find. The one that ends the song with liiife… that you like with that nice texture voice is amazing, he has a falsetto that is pure talent, yet he has a deeper ‘soulful’ sound as well that is something you will only find once in a lifetime.

Very good analysis, as you pointed out, they see more perspectives than those who are only singers or rappers. The boys are musicians, they have all been involved in songwriting, writing and production (Suga is one of the producers in his company and has produced for other artists or companies like Samsung). They are also very good dancers, creators (they have made the characters of BT21, intervened in the creation of video games, they give ideas for MVs and others, etc), they all have other talents, in addition to having a bachelor's degree and studying their master's degrees.

It's all love! YES! Knowing that's your vibe and that you appreciate meaningful lyrics on top of all the technical stuff makes me really glad to have found your channel. You'll align well with BTS's ethos. Lyrically, almost all their songs have a deep message (social commentary, mental health, dreams and ambitions, etc). The members (primarily the rap line) have writing credits (lyrics, beats, and melodies) on nearly every song, sometimes top-billing, sometimes further down a list with other writers, and they're always great at giving proper credits to everyone who works on a track. They also sometimes produce, and rapper Suga also produces for other artists under the moniker "prod. Suga." The song here, For Youth, was written for ARMY, so if you read the lyrics with that in mind you'll start to get a glimpse of the really special parasocial relationship they have with us fans. This performance aired 3 days after this track came out on their new album, and the next day they announced they're taking a sabbatical from BTS music for a while to focus on solo projects, although they'll continue to do non-music projects together during this time. They've made it very clear they have every intention of coming back to group music after they spend some time growing and recharging. This song and Yet to Come are both exceptionally special when viewed through that lens. Oh and stylistically these are quite different from their usual, so be prepared for lots of surprises as you discover the MANY genres and styles and MEGA polished performances they're known for!

A hello from an ARMY from Brazil. I really liked your reaction to the boys (boys is what the army affectionately calls them, even though they are almost 30y hahaha). They are complete artists, multifaceted and inspiring. And if you're willing to get to know them more deeply, both as artists and as individuals, I'm sure you'd better understand why they get so much love from the fandom. I also don't understand people who hate them... for me they are just prejudiced or frustrated people. I hope you react to more from BTS, but don't feel pressured, if you don't feel comfortable sharing here that's fine. But rest assured that the army that came to your channel would love to follow your path down the rabbit hole of BTS. If I can make some suggestions, it would be: - BTS ROOM LIVE #2021BTSFESTA : It's a medley of some of their songs released over their many years of career. You'll get a little sense of how eclectic they can be. - BTS TINY DESK (Home) Concert - Here they perform 3 songs, with a live band, it's also really fun. To get to know each one better, their history as a group, and a little about ARMY, I recommend: - An introduction to the 7 members of BTS (2021 update) - Ida S - THIS IS BTS| Introduction to BTS - Xceleste - BTS HARDSHIPS 2013-2021 | Racism, mistreatment, accusations + more | Struggles throughout the years - Xceleste - This is BTS ARMY | Introduction to BTS fans - Xceleste Sorry for any spelling mistakes, my English isn't that good. Stay healthy. Borahae!💜

Our humble kings. They get shit tons of hate. For no reason. Peopel are so jealous of tehm. If you wanna get the backstory there are tons of them. They are a true underdog story. They have been fighting for their place in the music industry first in their own country and then worldwide. Two of my favorites are: Who is BTS: The seven members of Bangtan by XCeleste (she's a great BTS resource.) The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS (2020 update) by Asian Theory Both are great. And never worry about long reactions. ARMY will watch them. And when you're ready y9u should react to their live Korean Award show performances. They are mindblowing. (And long) . They are amazing Live! Also their 2022 Grammy performance

Thank you for the lovely reaction! I enjoy a reactor who goes into the musical details, so nice. Since you do lives, BTS has tons of fantastic ones, I really feel that in spite of the fact that their studio versions are insanely great, they shine even more live, so there are tons to pick from. A few to get a feel for the rap line - Cyphers medley and Outro: Tear (at Wembly), and for the vocal line - House of Cards and Dimple/Pied Piper (the latter being the full group). As a group, I love Am I Wrong, Ma City, Fake Love, Butterfly/I Need U, Idol, Run, Jump, Spine Breaker, Dope, Baepsae, and so many more. I’m sure I’m forgetting some of my favorites. If you want to be blown away, watch some of their award show shows - after watching them, you’ll be turned off from ever watching another Western award show (oh, and for a fun time, watch BTS as this year’s Grammys, they really livened up that show). If you tell us your fav genres, we can pick some more for you.

Hi! Please react to Rap heavy songs- Danger, Cypher Medley live , UGH lyric video, Agustd, 1Verse, RM Joke mv. Vocal heavy songs- House of Cards, Dimple, Pied Piper, Your Eyes Tell live, Stigma, Epiphany, My Time live, Lie. Few facts- BTS members are the main songwriters, composers and one of the producers (accompanied by Pdogg,BangPd their inhouse prods) of their songs. Suga(Agustd) the lead rapper is a certified producer of Bighit and in kpop. RM(main rapper,leader) is main songwriter and is the second most credited idol with 190 credits in kpop.

Thank you for keeping your promise to react to this. (Sorry I missed seeing it for so long 🥺.) Don't worry about getting "a little nerdy." We are all about supporting people for who they are. So, you do you! I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds it interesting. Thanks for the new prospective and info. 😁💜

When you are here for music and for art then the hate doesn't make sense because at the end of the day music truly transcends all these man made barriers, be it language or borders. But some people allow their prejudice to overpower them, won't allow themselves to open up o something new and something different and seeing your reaction and hearing you talk about music, it is clear tat you have so much passion for it, you find joy in it and that is why the hate baffles you. Anyways, this is a great reaction, planning to check out your other videos as well. And feel free to check out other BTS music and performance (They are beyond phenomenal live)

I really enjoyed both your BTS reactions. Your appreciation of the music is obvious and I enjoy listening to positive people - not people looking to tear other down. If you like live performances, the Tiny Desk concert, MMA 2019, and ON from the Tonight Show would all be great to watch.

Their live grammy performance of BUTTER is quite good performance and they have a dance break there if you want to check it out :)

You are right, all so talented. JHope is a dude. They have recently announced focusing on solo projects for a while and JHope will be solo headlining Lollapalooza. He has also just released today a solo track called “More”. Whilst BTS cover many genres, this solo song is completely different again. A bit grungy with some rock guitar and not much of a chorus. The Proof live that you’ve reacted to is very recent and at the current height of their accumulated skills. It’s been a rough ride to the top for them both battling the closed shop of the music industry in South Korea and xenophobia abroad. The loyalty of the fan base (ARMY) kept them going and have been integral to their success. The bond is strong. Jungkook even has ARMY tattooed on his hand. There is no other fan base like it. There are many documentaries about their rise- eg kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZSohHSImtl8b7c The best individual member intro I’ve seen is by Taylor- kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqa5kKx_md2Nhrs But I’m jumping the gun 🙄. For more Live try “On” at Grand Central Station (Jimmy Fallon) kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4vLXqpoo96mq6s - the choreography is wild “The iconic “Mic drop” (Steve Aoki remix) live at Osaka kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYvTeJKtfNx3rrM For a beautiful ballad with just the vocal line - “House of cards” kzbin.info/www/bejne/ionCoK2Za6yno6c And for a gut wrenching performance from the rap line - Outro “Tear” live at Wembley - kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3XYkn19jspre7M A taster of so much incredible content. Thank you for having an open mind, many people have closed minds because they’re from a different culture and speak a different language. It was so great that you were able to get the rap flows without knowing what they were saying. Many people get hung up on that. Sorry I’ve written an essay 🙄🤣👌

Loved your analytics in the reaction-hard NOT to love these seven guys for the talent is massive! I hope you will continue to go down this BTS rabbit hole a bit because you can't help but be impressed. As some else suggested, please consider reacting to BTS Tiny Desk Concert- it's 3 songs and a happy, fun vibe with great vocals and a live band as well. Thank you!

PS All 3 rappers sang more than they've ever sung before in this song. RM, Suga (aka Agust D), and J-Hope. They are the baritones (though I suspect J-Hope might actually be tenor - but I'm just a wanna be vocalist with next to no training so don't know for sure).

I just came across your reactions, thank you for all your insight! I’d love to see your thoughts on more bts videos if you want to. I have 2 main recommendations for resources: - One is the fan youtube channel “Enjoy BTS more”, since you repeated that you’re mainly interested in live performances. They have great quality live videos of most BTS songs, always with english subtitles as an option in closed captions. Literally just scroll through their channel and watch whatever catches your attention. I say this as a fan, but imo you really can’t go wrong with BTS songs, there’s something to say about all of them ;) - The other is the video “A guide to bts members: the bangtan 7” by Taylor, which is the best and most up to date intro video, giving you a brief summary of the group and also each individual member and their history/musical contribution/personality. This is in case you want to learn names and faces - each member also does a lot of solo work and has solo live performances (or in small groups of 2, 3 or 4 members) if you’re interested in that.

Please see them dance while singing. They are known for their wild choreography. These songs are good and brilliant but you haven't seen anything yet. They are where they are now because of how crazy good their past performances were. Pls try mic drop MV, black swan MV, and ON kinetic manifesto film MV. These are three of their greatest MVS, in my opinion. Thank you for liking their music.🙂👍
