Interesting that they're using existing regional stock on the Enterprise service as I'd assumed they'd be operating it with the more standard Enterprise sets. Must be disappointing for passengers who purchased first class tickets but other than that I'm sure the more frequent service will be welcome! Thanks for sharing the news reports on the subject!

There are only four Enterprise train sets shared between IE and Translink so how could you possibly have an hourly service without additional non-enterprise trains. Also journey times on the Enterprise used to be 1 hr 55mins.

@Whizzy-jx3qe yeah I had been skeptical about now they'd make it work but now I know they're using other trains it makes a bit more sense!

It is a pity to hear negative comments about this news, although I do realise that it is necessary to provide a balance of views, surely an increase in public transport across the island of Ireland will be of benefit to all. Who knows what could come next, further improvements to the service, maybe going to half hourly at the busiest times of the day...making travel between the two capital cities even easier, getting people off the road, everyone wins.

Sitting in a Mitsui of Japan-supplied train while confidently stating the Japanese train isn't better than Japanese trains is interesting... The general public really can be idiots.

Connolly is so contested that it's hard to improve the speed.

Filming passengers inside railcars instead of the enterprise itself, that's just typical crap, the enterprise is the best train we've ever had it's disgraceful that they will be gone in a few years when they just did a mid life overhaul 7-8 years ago
