@@ColinM_KZbin Yes, they thought they were going down the corridor, across the yard to another part of the jail. Not 20 steps from their bed! Albert Pierrpoint's fastest execution was 7 seconds from entering the cell to pulling the lever on the trapdoor!

In Aussie Slang Gaol refers to Jail..So in Irish too..!

It’s old English word for jail. You can use either or, but in this instance I used it because that is how this experience uses it.
