Sarah Boucher oh yes, any horse has the capacity for that because they're flight animals. The hind feet will maim, the front feet will kill - I tell myself this every time I'm on my knees tending hooves, or taking a shortcut around/behind/under (yes under) my 900 lb mare - trust "kicks" 😬 in at some point along the way - I've been lucky enough to have my horse for 20+ years so I trust her enough to know she'd never willingly step on me but ya, she could kill me.

I was once helping out my husband's grandfather with his horses after a race. I'm trying to put his coat on him after running in this tight stall. Huge horse and very dominant, trying to dress em in this tiny stall. I go to maneuver around the back to pull the otherside over and I step on his hoof. My heart dropped and became scared to death because of the way he looked back at me, like you did not step on my foot. I held my hands up and started saying to a horse. Like he could understand me. He locked eyes with me for 10secs which felt like five mins, he could have easily kicked my chest in. But he gave me a pass and after that I will not be dealing with horses anymore

Many modern heavies have their origins in medieval chargers called destriers. Those were a bit smaller but not by much. One of the last heavy cavalries to use such horses was the Polish Winged Hussars. At the relief of the Siege of Vienna in 1683, a thousand Winged Hussars, led by King Jan, charged and routed the Ottoman army. Can you imagine a thousand horses like that, each carrying an armoured Knight wearing huge wings and carrying an 18-foot lance, thundering at you? It must have been utterly, absolutely terrifying. They rolled up the Turkish lines like a carpet.

@@danielcolton9834 Very cool! i could go on and on,... just make sure the horses know when you come around, they spook pretty easily, dont block their way out of somewhere because if they do spook they will run you right over. also just keep in mind they all have different personalities, not all like to be around people or being pet, dont go behind ones you are unsure about because they will kick you. they make it pretty clear when they are not happy about something. Lastly dont let them think they control you, you are the boss and make it clear when they are out of line.

i first met gim after the sun was down... it was allready dark and i was on the wrong field. I would visit another horse on the field next to him. Wenn i was near the small gate(that one in the video) he came to me like in that video and stopped 1meter in front of me. My GF was scared like hell.
