You are an amazing teacher. Your demonstrations are exceptionally clear and easy to follow. The lace looks very complicated and yet I would now have total confidence in being able to create it. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your videos. Thank you even more for your written instructions, together these are better than any form of pattern I have ever used. I am an amateur knitter and although your patterns are very intricate, you make it very easy to follow!!! Please continue with your videos!!! :) .

Just came across your videos and am enjoying them. I also knit (and crochet and sew) with cat fur and dog fur! lol! But I wouldn't trade them for the world.

There is a little mistake. In row 1 you said, purl 1,knit 3,... but you have just to knit 2 after the first stitch purl. I was try it multiple times, till I found this little mistake. But your video is great. Finally I understand how historical knitting works. Thanks so much.

There are no purl stitches in Row 1 - which row are you referring to? This seems to work out with the pattern as written, and it is shown as such in the video.
@johanna69453 жыл бұрын
@@iknitwithcatfur the first row. You said "purl one, knit 3" but you has only knit two. 😊 It's all fine. Your design is great.

@@johanna6945 no, there is no mention of Purls in row 1. It says for row 1, “knit three, yarn over, knit two together, knit one, make double yarn over, knit two together, another double yarn over, knit two together, and knit one” and that is what’s shown in the video.

I don't do needlework but I founded a book titled "directory of crafts and needlework 1888". there are other stitches by A.K. Stauffer. does anyone have any ideal how to get info about this paperback book.

You might want to try looking on archive.org, antiquepatternlibrary.org, hathitrust.org, gutenburg.org, or google books. Lots of old knitting, crochet and other similar books can be found on those sites.

I am stuck. I am knitting a border on a triangular shawl. When I go to the corner the pattern calls for a DJ, I am not familiar with this. Do you have a video that describes how to do the DJ. This is scaring the H out of me. I have done so much work so far, I don't want to (bugger) it up. HELLLLLP.

charles vereschagin Hmmm, I have never seen DJ. Maybe check around on Miriam Felton's blog, she is a shawl designer and has lots of tips, videos, etc. and I am pretty sure there are instructions on adding borders.

How many stitches did you cast on at the beginning?
