my pigeon used to follow me to school. wait till I got out turn followed me home, til he was shot, left for dead. I found him in the garbage can at school. loved that bird. Your birds remind me of him. Your great with these two including your puppy dog.

this is absolutely adorable. Kudos to you my friend for training not just one but the three of them. when i was a kid if have always wanted to cross a dove with my pigeon but never completed such project, so thanks a lot for putting up this vids. The hybrid looks beautiful. it shows almost all characteristics of the dove just the ring on the neck didnt come as dark as in doves. And his voice is half dove half pigeon too. Very interesting. When you have a small pigeon its easy, you just take her or him outside from really early age and he will do it automatically, like my white one. If you have an older bird, like one of two years old, than you dont let him fly for a year. Cut the feathers, after sommer they change them and can fly again but he will never live you after that. He will follow you everywhere. Of course you have to go out with that bird every day trough the year.

This is great. I have often dreamed of doing it. How did you manage the dove-pigeon cross? If you can still do it, please breed a thousand pairs of this hybrid and release them into the wild. This planet can do with something like this. Birds are disappearing fast. If I could do it, I would also introduce color genes into sparrows, so we could have multicolored sparrows flitting around instead of in their present drab form.
