I sort of echo your points on Belgium as a mediocre place to start a business. In my case, I am a Third-Party PE Fund Marketer - it's a very niche business and I am in the process of setting up a new structure. In my research, I am finding Belgium increasingly suitable for this type of venture, interestingly enough! The ironic thing is that I am based in France, a country with a very strong PE and VC network and decent enough tax-structure. But my business involves being an intermediary of sorts in the middle of capital flows and oddly enough Belgium might be proposing very high headline tax rates, but on the flip side for this kind of business, Belgium offers a lot of unique tax-deductions, especially when there are some holdings involved. There is also some decent tools for reporting for shareholders (i.e eStox) that also make Belgium an interesting solution. I am still on the fence with Belgium, but I guess it really depends on the nature of the business you are involved with.

I have to agree 100%. Starting a business in Belgium is for crazy people. If you wanne pay high taxes, Belgium is the best country in the world . 45 up to 55% taxes on your business income. I would recommend anyone to start a business here

Good and very relevant Question. I guess there is no simple answer, as this depends on the business you plan to build. I would take a closer look at Estonia , the Netherlands, Portugal or if you are Internet based only a view on Cyprus might be worth the effort.

Just contact any chartered accountants in india and ask for how to set up one person company. Ofcourse you should be native of India. If not native of India then find any small start up who can pair with you

Horrible "tutorial", no useful info at all. What is 'good', 'bad' or 'mediocre'? You do not provide any specific data or information. What is a 'good' tax environment, how easy is it to start, how much money do you need to start a company? What are government incentives? How much does it roughly cost to get an office, employee, etc? None of this info is provided. You spend half of the time talking about a visa, while this is a concern far from the starting fase.
