Actually one does not need a C-Permit, but generally speaking a B-Permit would suffice. Of course a B-Permit is easier to obtain for EU nationals, but well-capitalized non-EU nationals can get such a permit, as long as they have a good plan and they can prove to local authorities that it is sustainable, can create economic value etc. The other option for foreigners to operate in Switzerland is to hire a local Swiss-based director to run the business, while the foreigner retains ultimate ownership

Yes that's what the consultant and cantonal government told me too. They called us outside Europe as Third country. After open SARL with CHF20000 as capital then follow the business plan etc you can apply for the permit (either L or B) if you decide to stay in Switzerland, or appoint someone who is Swiss help to run

Hello sir, thanks for the video! Can I ask if the same rules apply for selling on amazon, ebay and dropshipping? Since I plan on spending my capital on buying products and having Amazon’s FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) deal with storing and distributing my products. I am technically not opening a business in Switzerland but am selling stuff on the international market under another platform. Thanks!

Hi, Sir . Thanks for great informative video. I am planning to setup Korean food franchise in Geneva. May I ask how much is the initial amount of investment ? And also can I get a working visa or residence visa if I invest that amount money for my business? Thanks
@AskMeStartUp2 жыл бұрын
Anyong haseo, I am a big fan of Korean food, however, Switzerland is very restrictive with its Visa policy. The food business might not be seen as a need in the country and hence it will be difficult to get permission. I recommend you read the official government website on the topic. www.kmu.admin.ch/kmu/en/home/concrete-know-how/setting-up-sme/starting-business/foreign-national.html PS: I would start in Zurich and not Geneva, as many big Korean Companies such as Samsung are located there and they love to go for Korean lunch. Hope this helps. PLease feel free to write me an email if you want to have an in-depth discussion.

I want to start a carpet store in Switzerland,what do you think about it?
@AskMeStartUp2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I am not sure if this will work. In my area many carpet stores closed, due to a decline in demand. Young people simply do not buy carpets any more. And if they do they go to IKEA…..
@Florabela698 ай бұрын
If the carpets are high end, you can cooperate with a furniture shop and decor and place some square mt for your carpets... alone it get difficult

I think Switzerland is a great place to have a pharmaceutical company. The Know-how and skilled employees are available. Also governments are discussing to return manufacturing to Europe for better supply chain control.
