Because we thought of a better future - more peace, more freedom, more prosperity for all of us. And we had not social networks in the web, we did have friends, relatives, coworkers in the real world. the emotions next door girl can awaken in you are different and much more intense than the worship of celebrities and stars. we led simpler lives but we were richer in human experiences not mediated by woke mantras

Love this song, as it reminds me of the freedoms we’ve had through out times. As first growing up in Colorado my family had some horses, and boarded some,at three I would go feed our Shetland pony “Sandy”. But now, I’m getting ready to decorate my bathroom with horse memorabilia, it’s a brown bathroom and I rent so this esthetic works, painting a picture of horses running in the canyons near a waterfall, and a shack close by, with a beautiful Sunny blue sky. It’s fun to experiment with different decor, loving horses 🐎 they’re so beautiful👍🐎🐎🐎

I remember buying the Runaway Horses cassette back in the late 80's because of hearing a Belinda Carlisle song on the radio that my mum was listening to. I think it may have been this song that was actually playing, where my mum was actually singing to it and saying that she has such a lovely voice! I agreed! I think after having a day off from school, mum took me with her into Newcastle, NSW, Australia and we went searching for Belinda's cassette. We ended up finding the Runaway Horses cassette (the one I wanted) and bought it. After that, I used to play the cassette every single day and would know all the lyrics too every song! And if I heard a Belinda Carlisle song on the radio on the bus to school or back home, I would quietly sing it to myself because I just absolutely loved Belinda Carlisle and her music! To this day, I love her music and nothing compares to it.......not even today's music. You're a true icon Belinda!
