I was on the USS Mobile parked right by the Missouri when this was filmed. I was a signalman so I got to watch the entire thing through the BIG EYES. Amazing then, amazing now. Thanks for all the great memories Cher.

Actually, yes, it was very scandalous when that video came out. I remember it well. Cher snuck that outfit in at the last minute. She was known for her risqué, almost nude outfits and she was one of a kind. She carried it well and basically thumbed her nose at everyone. The 80s were far far more conservative than nowadays. I can't believe some of the outfits celebrities wear and outright porn in MVs these days.

It's the best music video ever made! However, I can understand why the US Navy hierarchy were a little bit cross, considering about a year after the song was released Iraq invaded Kuwait, kicking off the first Gulf War - I'm assuming this battleship headed out to the Gulf at that time. Regardless though, it's still a fantastic performance by the most fabulous female rock singer - she's amazing! 🫶🏻

My nan just passed away last month, september 14. This was her FAVOURITE song. We used to scream it in her car when driving to town with my poppy and he used to get mad at us because we would be too loud, especially at the ''OHHHHHHHH'' part, but we never cared. This was the first song played at her funeral, and she was my best friend. I miss her so much, and my heart aches but she will forever be with me. RIP nanny

My heart feels her loss of her beautiful mother, I'm sure she was Cher's guide in her determination & zest for life. Cher & other strong women of those times gave me the confidence to leave a dead end young marriage....thank you ladies

Yeah cher was a real dog 🤮 lol but I do agree the '80s produced possibly the best music ever. Of course you'll never get somebody who grew up during the '60s to admit that. But modern music was pretty new back in the 60s. Everything is great when it's new. Especially on a personal level. Music, food, a house, pussy, a car, your first high. They all have that new exciting feel to them. But then as time goes by and they get boring, newer more exciting stuff comes out, but it will never have that same exciting feeling as when you first experienced it. Esp pussy and drugs.
