Song fact:- As the title suggests, the song is about reminiscing on lost love and the desire to turn back the clock and make things right. It’s a classic power ballad that showcases Cher’s vocal range and emotional depth. For Cher the song has personal significance. In several interviews, she has revealed that the lyrics reflect her own experience of regretting past mistakes and wishing she could have done things differently. ❤

Song starts playing Deadpool: you forgot to clean the cream cheese spreader. I’ll be right back. we’re definitely naming our kids Cher. Peter. Peter: x-force. Deadpool: walk away Just walk away. Peter: but we’re x-force. Deadpool: No we’re not x-force is just a marketing tool. designed by fox executives. to keep Josh brolin employed. it doesn’t exist. Peter: okay well this has been pretty scary. and I need to feed my cat. Deadpool: go home sugar bear. go home. Peter: will you give domino my email. Song continues playing. Wolverine: wade is that you. Stryker finally figured out how to shut you up. Deadpool: hey it’s me. Don’t scratch. just cleaning up the timelines. look eventually you’re going to hang up the claws. and it going. to make a lot of people very sad. but just remember that before you do. your old pal wade. told you to get back in the Settle again. and when he does say yes. love you. You seen Madonna rolling about a stage, Michael Jackson at his peak, Guns N Roses change the world in 1987. You seen great sportsmen like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Mike Tyson, Wayne Gretzky. Also you were in your 30s in the 1990s which was the peak of our species. Now you're coming into the final stages of life you can look back and feel privileged you where lucky.... But you also got to see a lot of shit like the Aids epidemic, crack cocaine, two planes hitting the world trade centre, endless wars and suffering, and you had to watch a lot of people you knew die. Lyrics If I could turn back time If I could find a way I'd take back those words that have hurt you And you'd stay I don't know why I did the things I did I don't know why I said the things I said Pride's like a knife, it can cut deep inside Words are like weapons, they wound sometimes I didn't really mean to hurt you I didn't wanna see you go I know I made you cry, but baby If I could turn back time If I could find a way I'd take back those words that have hurt you And you'd stay If I could reach the stars I'd give 'em all to you Then you'd love me, love me Like you used to do (If I could turn back time) My world was shattered, I was torn apart Like someone took a knife and drove it deep in my heart When you walked out that door I swore that I didn't care But I lost every thing, darlin', then and there Too strong to tell you I was sorry Too proud to tell you I was wrong I know that I was blind, and darlin' If I could turn back time If I could find a way I'd take back those words that have hurt you And you'd stay If I could reach the stars I'd give 'em all to you Then you'd love me, love me Like you used to do, ohh If I could turn back time (If I could turn back time) If I could turn back time (If I could turn back time) If I could turn back time, ohh baby I didnt really mean to hurt you I didn't wanna see you go I know I made you cry But ohh If I could turn back time If I could find a way I'd take back those words that have hurt you If I could reach the stars I'd give them all to you Then you'd love me, love me Like you used to do If I could turn back time (Turn back time) If I could find a way (Find a way) Then maybe, maybe, maybe you'd stay (Reach the stars)

Actually, yes, it was very scandalous when that video came out. I remember it well. Cher snuck that outfit in at the last minute. She was known for her risqué, almost nude outfits and she was one of a kind. She carried it well and basically thumbed her nose at everyone. The 80s were far far more conservative than nowadays. I can't believe some of the outfits celebrities wear and outright porn in MVs these days.
@jedijones Жыл бұрын
@@apveening Oh, it was scandalous. MTV was forced to air it only after 9 PM after protests. We were all talking about her showing her butt at that time because it was unheard of to see anything like that on television.
