We care about watching and following your trips. You inspire us to do the same. Very sad about the hard drive. Been there, know the feeling.

My friends back in the US always ask me : "What do you do down there ?" I realize that it is exactly what you are doing that can be frustrating, but approached with a positive attitude (and sometimes a few extra dollars ) things like getting the phone card, or finding a stocked ATM can take time . Ever the adventure ! Another example, I need some Sweet Pickle Relish this week for a meal we love to cook and eat. Went yesterday to two places that normally have it , and they both are out . Finally found it today in a new place, but damn, the time and traffic we had to get through just for that seems unbalanced to some , but worth it to me . Different life and I / we love it !

OMG, I feel you on the pickle Relish. Just this last winter when we were in Baja again I could not find dill pickle relish to save my life. I finally found dill pickles and had to just chop them up. I had already invested in cans of tuna for tuna sandwiches and I love dill relish with tuna sandwiches. It seemed incredible that a gingo state like Baja didn't have any relish. Not even the big markets in Cabo??

Glad you're enjoying them Tony. I'm sure this won't surprise you, but we don't come from any kind of film background so we've been learning as we go and that includes camera gear. I'm about to start editing our Costa Rica footage and I'm excited because we got some more new gear there, so hopefully we'll see more improvement. Cheers. Enjoy the show!

Hey, we are leaving next month to a our adventure through central and South America. We will be taking our dog as well, besides what you described in this video related on how you crossed this border with a dog, did you had trouble in any other border with him? Any special documentation or hazards you experienced besides his health? Which basic gear do you recommend bringing for a dog on a long term travel? Your experience and input is very important for us. Thanks in advance
@TheTravelingTogetherJournal6 жыл бұрын
Hi Claudia. It sounds like you have a very exciting trip coming up. Belize requires a special form in addition to a recent health certificate. We didn't get the form in advance like we were supposed to so we had to pay a fine, but we were still allowed to cross. Here's the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iIrap2puncuHeJI Panama will be strict about current health certificates as well and charges more than any other country to bring a dog in, but it can all be dealt with at the border as long as you have the rabies vaccine certificate. The rest of the borders in Central America are easy and all accept the health certificate from the USA even though it's technically too old. It's just an extra step to get the dog through each border. I would recommend keeping the dog on a flee/tick medication and a dewormer that includes hart worm. If he isn't on one, start now to make sure he doesn't have a bad reaction to the meds before you start your trip. Then try to keep him on the same meds throughout the trip to avoid any issues while your traveling. If you plan on taking any flights or ferries you may need a kennel for the dog. If it is a BIG dog, then you may find it very difficult to find a big enough kennel once on the road, so you may consider bringing one. We also really liked having a folding bowl that we kept under the car seat so we could easily give the dog water while on the road. amzn.to/2lmWf95 Hope this is helpful

Go pro 6, we lowered the quality of recordings. Otherwise you need a new computer to handle the 6 software for the 4K format.

They sure don't make tourism easy at the borders.
@TheTravelingTogetherJournal5 жыл бұрын
The orders aren't generally used much by tourist. The borders that do see tourist are usually a little better at handling them for visas, but then it's still rare for a tourist to have a vehicle with them so the TIP side of things is usually still confusing. When we start getting frustrated we try to remind ourselves that we aren't "normal" so why would the system be designed to work for us. It's the same thing when we were try to explain to the California DMV that we couldn't smog our vehicle because it wouldn't be back in the country for over a year. They just don't have a box to mark for that.

Excellent stuff! Any push back from the locals because of the current US admin position/hostility?
@TheTravelingTogetherJournal6 жыл бұрын
No, from our experience, the folks that are aware of US politics are also aware that the populous of a country doesn't necessarily agree with its leader's foreign policies. We got a few uncomfortable questions during the election and shortly after, but no hostility at all. Only curiosity.

I like your videos but in this one i think you Been very negative and well is frustrating when things are a bit hard to get but i cant understand what happen with the Phone that no other tourist had , or at least in any video you hear them [Others] strugle with Cameras or Phones like you, , I travel to GUATEMALA wIth my smarthphone that i paid in Los Angeles before i Travel and never got any issue , but excuse my Ignorance i dont know if we are talking about the same thing, , i just hope you guys had next time a better Trip, and GUATEMALA is Beautyful and the attitude is a big chunk of reaction from the other part , you guys are a Beautyful Couple but i see the frustration in the guys face and maybe is a sweet Candy boy but looks Mad and in the Latin view a bit to Arrogant , , im sure hes not like that but his Beautyful face is not smiley and People in Guatemala works with the first approach of the visitor , if you smile and accept them , they are Grateful and try their best to help. if you are not smiley one and pesimistic , that will be the first step that you guys are closing the door , , and they feel you are closing the door on them , Always have to be careful about safety conditions but Smile , , a Beautyful Smile opens 1,000 Doors
