Bell Creek Nature Preserve

Bell Creek Nature Preserve is a window to Florida’s vanishing landscapes. An abandoned paved road cutting through the preserve outlines just how close this property was to development. At the last minute, the project was halted and 470 acres are now preserved.

Yay, this is the closest hike to me! Glad you found a quiet morning and saw quite a bit. It can get busy there. Lots of tortoises if you visit late in the day.

I saw maybe 2 other people on a Saturday morning. The heat definitely keeps most folks indoors :)
