So glad you took the lens out, Mine would not focus, so I removed the lens only to find it was full of gunk and would not slide. I took mine apart, cleaned it and now it works perfectly. Thank you

Great video! Thanks for demonstrating...My films keeps getting caught on the bottom threading mechanism and don't know the reason. Any ideas as to why?

Fantastic video! I just picked up mine at Goodwill for $21. The reverse doesn't seem to work and one of the tapes mounts doesn't stay in place and falls off. Other than that it appears to work.

I also need the rubber cones that goes on the end of the motor shaft and the two guide shaft rubbers. A idea came to me after looking at my pellet stove and seeing a rubber tube like the kind they use for gas lines on lawn mowers or leaf blowers, etc. I haven't tried it yet but if you found the correct inside diameter gas line tubing I think the outside would conform to the shape of the drive wheels. I'll see what I can find at a auto or hardware store and give it a try. If I have success I'll try to update it here.

thank you...there is two projector 8mm & super 8mm...what is the difference please? did the 8mm projector work with super 8mm movies?
@1959blantz8 жыл бұрын
+OstazFarid Only if the projector is Dual 8MM. A dedicated Super 8MM (as the one in the video) will NOT play standard 8mm Film. The difference between Super 8 and Standard 8 are the size of the Sprocket Holes on the Film itself. Super 8 has smaller Sprocket Holes, thus allowing a larger Frame on the Film, where as Standard 8 as larger Sprocket Holes making the Frame image smaller.

Hi, I’ve just got an 8mm projector as a gift from a friend. It’s a bell & Howell I’ve been watching some movies on sale on eBay, these tapes or reels or whatever are only the image right? How can I add audio to the film? Thanks and great video tho..
@TechProGabe3 жыл бұрын
There is no audio track, its just the video only.

Don't forget to put your feel in a well sealed container and then put it in the freezer, this will stop your films from aging any more. :-)

Area the film is projected from is called the gate, don’t touch the glass bulb of the halogen lamp! Get a clue about what your making a video about, before you make it. It’s called a leader before the content of the film starts. Not a tape, it’s a film. No, gears do NOT pull the film! Sprocket holes are to guide the individual frames properly into the gate! Projector, not a camera.
