@@Uluc994 I can understand that; it's really hard when you can't move your face, and you have no idea what to expect. Best advice I can offer is to stay as positive as possible, and take the prednisone.

Wow you look great for your symtoms. Mine just started 2 days ago. Are you doing the facial exercises? I have to tape my eyelid down and adhesive patch over it. This is an old video but a new one updating on your condition would be great. Did it totally go away?

I feel that at this point I am 98% of what I was before. I notice droopiness in my eye still but generally only on pictures not so much looking in the mirror. I would say I reached this point about 3 months post recovery. Similar to the way it came on, was the way it left. Starting with my lips and then expanding over my face. When it started to go away, it did so in the reverse order with my lips being the last to fully return and my tongue to have taste back to normal. I hope you are as fortunate as I was to get as close to full recovery as possible. Try to limit stress as much as possible. I tried to avoid massaging my face but that is easier said. The sleeping and gooping your eye at night is no fun. Good luck to you and I hope it’s a quick run.

I am sorry to see you are going through this. It was very difficult the first few weeks. It takes time for things to return to normal. The last place you had go numb will be the first that comes back. The facial nerves are fed from a canal behind your ear and then spiderweb out across your face. When the nerve is inflamed, the canal is too small and signal get cut off which causes the paralysis. I have had friends who recovered over a shorter period than I did and then I have had others who took much longer and didn’t fully recover. Be patient with the process and try to cut as much stress as possible so your body can heal. Good luck.
