He has a lovely collected canter and is a great farter. He is herd leader over Farouk who is a pure-bred Arabian horse, Farouk is 8 years old and loves galloping and is a good endurance horse. He is the Grandson of the famous Marwan Al Shaqab and then there is Princess Bella a Three-Year Old pure-bred Andalusian filly her speciality is bucking and jumping for joy.

she handled the stirrup falling off well. minor worry then stop. One of the scariest things about Farouk is he is a runner. He has no fight and all flight. Really and ideally you would want your mount to stop and stay with you. I think Bella can master that easily. Also she reacts more with annoyance rather than fear general. So brilliant

I’m so happy that you didn’t use a bridle as I’ve seen people have bits in the horses mouth and they really pull on the lung lead which causes pain and youv3 don’t the right thing to have a rope- headcollar on top instead of a bridle so very well done. Xxxx. Amazing trainer with no hurting horse.

Powerful mare. One trainer said to send the horse forward if bucking or acting up on the line. Do not stop, have them go on.

Bonsoir Tara Rens et Steve Bella est si intelligente que je suis très fière d elle. Malgré tout elle a des peurs et des colères... parfois elle est comme Farouk. Mais tu as tout à fait raison Tara dans ta méthode. Il faut absolument qu elle apprenne à se dominer sinon ça sera dangereux en balade. Déjà je pense qu elle doit te faire mal aux bras en tirant comme ça sur la longe Tara... Bella commence à bien appliquer les consignes mais c est vrai qu elle a beaucoup de caractère... Bella is trying hard with her lessons, she will master the flapping stirrups. She is very opinionated as some mares can be. I like that in a horse she can think for herself comes in handy in an emergency situation.

With that sensitivity to stirup (sp) placement, although moving about randomly, Bella could be outstanding in side passes and change of lead, etc., and catch tiny shifts in leg and seat positions for the other advanced dressage moves. She is that smart, always thinking and trying to figure things out. She will exceed expectations that you have set before her. And great call Mr. Ren!

The test of wills is interesting to watch. She is so smart and likes to cooperate when it suits her. She will learn that's not good enough, but as you are an excellent trainer and so patient, she will come around.

Hi Tara and Rens, I love the colour of this saddle blanket ( numna sp?) on Bella. It is my favorite colour with her golden coat. She seems to have the " this way and bottom over down " pretty well but she is irritated by those stirrups. She will get used to them soon.

Maybe it’s a good lesson when lunging that the flapping is OK even though it’s annoying. I’m thinking of Farouk when you lost your stirrups, and the flapping maybe was part of what made him take off like he did. You’ve had an interesting few days!

I love how your horses aren't blindly obedient and shut down. You allow them freedom of expression and only correct them when it's necessary- and that's a great thing. If you're out riding with her and deliberately let your feet out of the stirrups or lose them she isn't going to freak out. She'll know the difference between a stirrup tapping her and your leg aids. So good! She certainly is a lovely mover, isn't she? Very cat like and quick with her feet. Plus, super pretty! But then... all your horses are so beautiful...

Bella was fantastic with the "this way", such a smart girl, thinking all the time. The stirrups, or maybe foreign objects to Bella atm, were annoying and she wanted rid of them, and in the end she showed it - think I would too! But well done, Tara and Rens. You know what you're doing. ❤❤❤

I know nothing about horses. I grew up next to a rodeo. I could watch horses work and play forever. I admire people like you who work with them. And Bella is beautiful. May I ask probably stupid question - Bella seems keen to please you for sure. So could those stirrups (is that what they were?) flopping around be bruising after a while and not just irritating? Could they have been causing a little discomfort for Bella? I only ask this because she always seems so obedient and seems to love pleasing you and her continually acting up seems out of character. But idk. I've only watched a few of her videos.

She definitely was feeling a bit testy wasn't she? Guess that's all part of the growing up & the learning process... pushing the limits as far as she can. But each time after you showed your disapproval, she would immediately listen to your commands & behave again. The stirrups hitting her sides is just another learning experience for her & this soon, shall pass. Your praises & treats were certainly welcomed weren't they?
