Actually in the previous scene, Carlisle already gave bella food but bella's system refused it. They didnt know what a hybrid baby (a half vampire, a half human) wanted. They thought it's like human baby. Later, finally they knew that the baby's food was vampire's food.

I completely understand both of their point of views on the baby. There are some situations in real life ((of course no situations of a vampire baby in real life)) when a woman will possibly die by bringing a baby into the world and the father or husband/father doesn’t want that. But the mother or wife/mother wants a baby more than anything, seeing that the baby will still be a part of her in the world even if she is gone. It’s a terrible situation all around. However I do feel that Bella & Edward should have fully talk about it as a husband & wife should do. Yes it did work out in the end but imagine what would have happened if it didn’t work out. Interesting. In the books, Edward was very careful not to upset Bella. Here he finally expresses his feelings, and i totally get his pov. He doesn't want this baby but Bella is forcing it onto him. Stephanie Meyer is very much a conservative Mormon. So, her version will be a lot mor in favour of the pro-life perspective, just like her books promote abstinence and girls marrying as soon as they leave school. Edward, Bella and Renesme are basically the Holy Family. However, she had less of a hand in the movies, where they could explore the grief of the father, the medical risks of bringing a pregnancy to term and take a more balanced approach to things like abortion. The blood is O- though, which means it's for patients.

Carlisle said he had the blood laid aside for Bella. Most likely meaning that it was for giving her blood transfusions, not for drinking. And that it being in sealed plastic bags in a cooling area; may be why the others didn't notice the scent. In other words, Carlisle is not trying to hide blood from thirsty vampires, he is a doctor taking steps to prevent Bella from dying. Bella drinking the blood did not occur to Carlisle until Edward said what Jacob thought, what Bella said and that Edward mentioned how it would have to be human blood.

Rosalie previously admitted that she was jealous of Bella's mortality and luxury of choice. Rosalie was beaten to death and saved outside of her control and exists in a state of permanent pause. Immortality must be incredibly isolating. She didn't want Bella to feel welcome because she thought Bella was just some dumb girl attracted to "pretty sparkly immortality" and never consider all that she would have to give up. It was a fair deal that the two women made. "Protect me and care for me and if I die, you can have the kid." Rosalie kept to it and was the only one who didn't shame Bella or try to convince her to kill her and her husband's child.

My favourite is the bathroom soon like damn the song everything was perfection. The ‘cooold as we go sloooow’ was one chilling as she checks herself out in the mirror and see how the baby is not good for her and she’s slowly dying, and she looked so depressed and agitated, and what’s worse was Edward looking at her too, so she covered herself because she knew he wouldn’t like it… I live for the song… it’s so grey. This may not be my favourite film but that scene alone wins over ANY movie I’ve watched. Damn, the way it made me feel.

I've heard some interesting theories on this, one of which focusing on the fact that vampires, biologically, are both bait and predator--humans are drawn to them like addicts. Bella isn't at all different from someone like Jessica, both are attracted to Edward--the only difference is that Edward is attracted back. So in this theory, Bella isn't so much in love with Edward as she is addicted (and in deep withdrawal in New Moon). Bella has never had any real desire to be a mother before. She's suddenly willing to die for this baby, not because it's her baby, but because it's Edward's, and because it's half-vampire. It's both Edward's and the baby's natural predator vibes that are working on her addiction, unconsciously. The baby wants to live, and vampires live by feeding off humans, so the baby's unconsciously using this power on Bella. There's this whole theme of Bella needing to make her own decisions, which is a good thing. But in this theory, Bella hasn't been in her right mind since Edward came into her life. She's been an addict, willing to risk her life (and others) for him, and for his baby. In this theory, Bella is a prisoner within this addiction, making decisions she'd NEVER have made a year and a half ago.

THISSSSS. I realized all of this when I first read it when I was like 12. It’s so obvious to see. Also it’s why Jacob tries so hard to make her see it. Twilight is actually really dark & tragic. Jacob & Bella were soulmates & they would’ve effortlessly been together if not for the addiction. I call it vampire “thrall.” It’s subconscious. Also the only reason edward chose bella was bc he couldn’t read her mind. If he did , he wouldn’t be interested and wouldn’t have pursued her. He never should have. I started out as a dumb naive fan, then over time and learning more about the terrible writing of Stephenie Meyer and also maturing and realizing things myself... I became an anti-fan. I still loved elements of the story and certain characters and the immense potential the story had, if it had a WAY different ending. In general, Jacob is my favorite character and SM's assassination of his character is honestly the most tragic part of this whole story imo. Bella and Edward were never good for each other, the entire core of their relationship was based on the fact that she was just under his vampiric spell. I've read SO many great fanfics where Bella chose to stay human and end her relationship with Edward and I truly wish that was canon. Like... its sounds stupid but this crap actually makes me want to cry lol how much potential this story had but stupid Stephenie Meyer just HAD to have her special little love story play out the was she wanted, instead of being a good writer and just let the story play out in a way more sensical way that would have been better and a way better model for younger girls to follow. Well; Bella isn't much better. Imagine being Edward for a moment. I get that nobody seems to care about the fathers in these situations, but it's their lives that are being ruined too. Edward would have lost his wife, would despise his daughter, and just hate himself, blaming himself for all of it and probably eventually killing himself. Bella forcing Edward to go through with that is equally as "abusive" as Edward, but ultimately; neither of them were abusive, they just weren't compatible. They should have never been together and the whole thing was nonsensical. Neither party should have been forced to give up anything, especially something as serious as what they were both giving up. Edward giving up the love of his life and Bella giving up her child. Never should have happened because they should have been on the same page before this situation even occurred. All of it is ridiculous and incredibly toxic.

Her character was unpleasant throughout the books but I could understand given her past, but this scene truly made me finally lose any respect for her.

I love this movie. All five episodes.i watch it every day. Bella, was very strong and devoted to what she wanted. And she didnt change her mind concerning Edward. She truly fell in love with him, knowing what he was. And my opinion, i dont know how vampires work, but this vampire Edward fell in love with Bella. It seen like, she change him ,in a good way. She was scare, but saying she wasnt afraid of him.but her love she have for him, made her stronger. That's how they will survive, loving each other, now that she have cross over. The best romantic vampire movie i have ever seen 💯

Take Sam for example, he loved Leah before he imprinted on Emily, had he not met Emily, he still would have had a chance to procreate with Leah. Same with Jacob, he still fell in love with Bella even though she wasn't his 'soulmate'. Had Bella 'chosen' him, he could have had a baby with her. I think every wolf has only one 'soulmate' destined for them but they can still fall in love with other people before meeting them. And thus, can procreate. Jacob's soulmate was Renessmee. If she wasn't born, then either Jacob would have fallen in love with someone else, just like he did with Bella, or he would have been alone. Not all werewolves imprint. Maybe this is what happens with their 'soulmates'.
