I know I'm a bit late to this video. I'm seeing it for the first time tonight. I would not bet for a second this diy product has actually helped. Her looks have changed over the years because she has had cosmetic procedures... a nose job, breast augmentation, lip fillers and dermabrasion. She is only admitting to the micro needling and the esthetician. She had an Instagram post at the esthetician's office where they even used a vacuum on her acne to help clear her skin. The idea this sugar scrub is the saving grace and what cleared her skin is ridiculous, especially knowing all of the other procedures and treatments she schedules.

yeah, like WHAT? if anything you should do NOTHING under your eyes, or maybe some moisturizer, but under your eyes, your skin doesn't really break out under your eyes so its not like its an area you need to clean beyond getting make up off, and if you are scrubbing them with sugar and lemon, this "NATURAL" cleanser, you are scrubing away YOUR NATURAL oils. there is a reason people put lemon in their hair to lighten it, and you are putting that stuff under your eyes and then going outside...thats not good.

The main pet peeve I got is that she said she had cystic acne but took Accutane, then later roasts dermatologists saying they didn't help her at all. Umm does she realize that it's most likely Accutane that helped clear her skin, and not her ridiculous scrub?
@maddieluciano58125 жыл бұрын
tehmaimed facts accutane is very helpful for cystic acne. This stupid shut she’s doing is the reason she isn’t seeing results
@brookelol75075 жыл бұрын
I’m assuming the reason she thinks it didn’t work is because she got the purging of the skin people get when they take accutane. Especially if she has surface dryness, that’ll make purging more noticeable. I agree that the accutane probably really did help her.
@ChrysusTV5 жыл бұрын
Yep Accutane is great but has a lot of immediate, noticeable negative side effects for the skin. I think I took Accutane for...a year? And it definitely works _over time,_ but you _immediately_ notice substantial drying and other side effects like nose bleeds. I wouldn't be surprised if that was a catalyst for her whole "chemicals are bad, my doctors tried to kill me with Accutane" thing.
@scarletclough5 жыл бұрын
Chrysus i mean just because you’re on accutane doesn’t you don’t need to be washing and moisturizing
@ChrysusTV5 жыл бұрын
@@scarletclough That's not at all what I said. I mentioned the irrefutable, documented effects of Accutane. I never said it necessitates you neglect your face and hygiene. Regardless, when you're on Accutane, they give you a very detailed regimen for facial care including skin hydration, sun screens for the increased UV sensitivity, and saline sprays for the nose bleeds. It doesn't mean every side effect is 100% avoidable. Your comment doesn't make sense anyway in any context, so try again.

Let's say it again loudly for those in the back: EVERYTHING that exists in this universe is made up of chemicals, and that includes all skincare. It doesn't matter if your jar of cream has "all natural" written on it, and contains cucumber extract as one of the main ingredients. "Cucumber" might be listed on the label, but that cucumber is made up of numerous chemical compounds that you probably couldn't pronouce and aren't listed on the label. "Chemicals" doesn't mean "dirty", "toxic", or "harsh", they're just the technical names for the building blocks of all matter. Chemicals are contained in substances found in nature, and some are human made, so what? Human made chemicals are actually SAFER and more consistent. But for the love of kittens, whatever you do, don't concoct your own skincare out of pantry items. Please watch Lab Muffin Beauty Science's video about "natural" vs unnatural skincare for a professional chemist's explanation on this topic.
@Cara-395 жыл бұрын
Exactly this!! As someone with ultra sensitive and reactive skin, I avoid anything labeled all natural because there is no regulation or testing of the ingredients and they're loaded with plant and flower extracts and essential oils that only serve to irritate the skin. Give me a product made in a sterile lab containing ingredients that have been regulated for safety any day. Modern science is the reason we no longer use lead or arsenic based products. Also, just because something is safe to eat, doesn't mean it's safe to apply to your face.

Just curious about a professional's opinion: along with the natural skincare movement, there seems to be a similar movement with dental care. What would you say to people who say there are toxins in some toothpastes, or that they'd like to go natural for environmental reasons?
@fave5254 жыл бұрын
@@crnchi8817 you mean fluorine? People who insist fluorine in toothpastes is toxic are simply uneducated. The amounts of it in toothpastes is minimal and it cannot be toxic unless you literally eat 10 tubes of it in one go and even then you'd most likely upset your stomach with the detergents that are being used in toothpastes rather than from fluorine. There are tons of research that proved how effective fluorine is. When the US stopped fluoriding their water, the caries cases skyrocketed. I'm all for avoiding detergent in toothpaste. It doesn't have to foam to clean your teeth, but you're actively hurting yourself by using fluorine free toothpaste.

When you’re trying to compare an esthetician to a dermatologist, I believe the best analogy is a dental hygienist versus a dentist! The DH REALLY does the cleaning that help our teeth look great, while the dentist is diagnosis and doing any surgeries and prescriptions to any other medical issues you have. The more you go to get a cleaning, the less problems you’ll have with a dentist! Hope this helps ✌🏻 Edit: I don’t mean to say they’re the same or that you should go to an esthetician daily, just the recommended amount! But I think the same concept is in place with exceptions and personal practices of these doctors :)

@lucyg45325 жыл бұрын
Julie Lescroc This is true. Coconut oil can be good for some people. The problem I think is that Bella wants to put it in a skincare line which will probably be mostly bought by young people with acne who think because it worked for her it will work for them. She doesn’t seem to realize that even though it worked for her it will also make many of her buyers break out. TBH a lot of this stuff seems like a DIY project. Instead of buying this stuff people should try making the mask at home and see if coconut oil breaks them out. The people that usually preach natural skincare usually never know what they're talking about
@Cara-395 жыл бұрын
THANK YOU!!! "All Natural" was created by marketing depts to sell products. There's no definition, no regulation or testing of ingredients and anyone can whip something up in their kitchen and slap an all natural label on it. I hate greenwashing and it's done by people that have no cosmetic chemistry or science experience whatsoever.

I mean I personally have extremely sensitive skin so I can't use skin care products that aren't natural
@wiivi1325 жыл бұрын
@@auggieb2681 "All natural" and "non-natural" skincare can both irritate the skin. It's all about the ingredients you're using. If you've found a natural skincare routine that works for you, great! But don't assume that everything that isn't natural will automatically irritate your skin. Sure, there are irritating ingridients that aren't considered "natural", but that doesn't mean all non-natural ingredients are bad. Just like non-natural ingredients, natural ingredients can be very irritating as well. I bet your skin would freak from Bella's skincare routine, I know my extremely sensitive skin would, and it has nothing to do with being natural and everything to do with the ingredients she's using.
@auggieb26815 жыл бұрын
Viivi I wasn't trying to claim that I'm scared of every non natural product it's just that everything aside from those hippy all natural brands gives me rashes. And yeah that lemon juice would kill me
@Peanut_taco_muffin5 жыл бұрын
Auggie B that doesn’t make sense. Natural does not mean hypo-allergenic. In fact, many materials made in labs are safer for sensitive skin than many natural ingredients because it’s tested to death before it’s approved as a raw ingredient and is under more scrutiny. Essential oils are natural and there are natural fragrances on the market, and both are amongst the most common allergy-triggering substances you can put on your skin. “Natural” means nothing in terms of “gentle” or “safe”. That’s akin to saying “chemicals are bad for you skin”. It just doesn’t line up with the facts.

@@violetrosely3694 and... not vaccinating your kids is setting them up for a life full of danger and illness. My aunt is deaf from childhood measles. My mum is covered in scarred pockmarks from chickenpox. I heard about a lady who refused the Vitamin K shot for her newborn, who subsequently passed away from a brain bleed. Anti-vaxxers are only staying afloat because the rest of us vaccinate our fucking children, ever heard of herd immunity? I cannot stress this enough. Vaccinate. There is no link to autism. They phased out the dangerous chemicals years ago. Using a phone, having a microwave and eating fish exposes you to worse things than a vaccine.

Ive always been obsessed with coconut oil.. but I've definitely realised that it does not do any good for my face!! If i used coconut oil on my face, i would break out but would be so surface dry! - Not a good look!! I keep it far away from my face now and even when i use it for the rest of my body its a thin layer. Surely this Bella girl would be noticing that this would be causing her problems!
@nickytjiupek22995 жыл бұрын
Aya 11 Hi, I usually use jojoba oil as my body oil. Maybe u can try it as an oil cleanser/make up remover. I usually add a small drop of lavender essential oil and/or frankincense essential oil. Just take note not to wet your face at the beginning to start your make up remover or oil cleanser step. Put 5 small drops of jojoba oil with a dropper. Rub gently and remove with cotton pad (as a make up remover) As oil cleanser: Put some on face and rub gently. Rinse with lukewarm water. Proceed by using your facial cleanser (of preference) and continue with your general way of face cleansing. Just remember to moisturise with moisturiser then sunscreen (day) or sleeping mask (night before bed).

I also love jojoba oil - my combo (oily/normal) acne prone skin isn't adversely affected by using jojoba oil on occassion. There is wheat germ oil in my favorite moisturizer and my skin is blemish free, most of the time. I used to think oils were the enemy. Using the right ones have been beneficial. Coconut oil gave me cystic acne! Stay clear of fragrant essential oils, my friends!
