I started crocheting 2 days ago having never even touched a hook before that. Using your videos I have now got double and treble crochets down (having my work checked at a local wool shop just to make sure I'd done it right), and will be trying the flat circle at some point this weekend. You explain things in this video so I find them very easy to understand, even to the point that I can say what your next instruction was going to be, before you did! ☺️ So thank you and please keep posting videos (more beginner projects would be good, I want to make one of those folded down top baskets using a flat circle base, and square, but don't know what to do with the sides - hope you can help). @@bellacococrochet i’m going to ask a stupid question and I probably should go back to school but here goes. For the rounds that end with 36 and so forth, should that last double crochet that is done in the round be alone? Should I just be ending the round with one double crochet in the stitch? Sometimes I think I get thrown off by stitch placement at the end of the round.
@purplespinach175 жыл бұрын
This is a very easy to follow tutorial. I've been looking for little crochet projects to do, and after making some amigurumi whales, I wondered how to take the round aspect and make it flat. If you stop increasing as described your work will start going upwards like the sides of a round basket. If this is what you want to make, no problem. But if you want in to remain flat you need to continue the increases.

It keeps on making a bowl thing. I’ve tried this so many times and I don’t get a flat circle. It’s so frustrating.

It sounds as though your tension could be a little tight - have you tried going up a hook size? 😊

Bella Coco my stitches aren’t tight. Maybe the problem is that I hold my hook different than other people.

Thanks this is one I needed to watch. I always end up with a bowl maybe I will have a flat circle. Thank you. Do you have on turning chains. I have so much trouble knowing where to put my hook at the end of sc So I stay away from a lot of projects for that reason. And my friends also asked me to ask you because we all have the same problems. Thanks again Now I can make that basket I saw

I put a marker in the last stitch of a turning chain (can use a safety pin or bobby pin too). Then when I come around, i know which one to put the crochet hook into. I remove the marker, do the turning chain and put the marker in the new top stitch.
