I am now using your link to buy Dharma dyes, but at first I purchased Tulip Fabric Dye for Ice Tie Dye. Can it be made into liquid dye? If so how would it be mix. Could you also wrap your shirt in a plastic bag and towel and set it on a heating pad and if so what temp. and how long would suggest?

Yes you could do that. Not 100% sure, low to medium maybe? Procion dye needs to batch at 70° or warmer so it can bond with the natural fibers. The chemical reaction of soda ash dye only lasts for 48 hours. ❤️🌈

I would be leary about leaving a heating pad on for that long, but that’s just me. What I do is put it in a plastic bag, pop it into a cooler with a couple pitchers of warm water. It stays warm in there for several hours…just add more hot water as needed.

You want to shrink the item so it doesn’t shrink on your customer. Hot water removes the un-bonded dye. I follow the recommended instructions from the dye company. I suggest you do as well. ❤️🌈

I just did thev turquoise and purple spiral with black on the back but i ran out of my turquoise and purple dye so i just got to do the front. So i just put black on the back. Will it turn out ok?

I can't listen with the volume on right now. How long do you wait before adding the black over the back of the spiral in order to keep the turquoise from becoming too dark? I tried to do this with red and blue last summer and it came out tinted, like maroon/purpleish instead of red and the blue was darker than on other shirts that I didn't do the black on.

Sometimes I flip them immediately and add the black. Sometimes I let them rest for 10 minutes. Sometimes I start with the black. It just depends on the mood I’m in. 🤷‍♀️❤️🌈

It does not have to be inside out. It’s just a matter of preference. You can definitely do this on a hoodie. I DO NOT turn my hoodies inside out. Hope this helps. 😁❤️🌈
