the fact that Anita's parents reached out to offer support is amazing. They relived their own trauma to support another family going through their own. That strength and selflessness is a bright light in this incredibly dark case, I'm so glad you included that detail because it really brought me some comfort

Anita's case was difficult to hear (I watched it for the first time yesterday), but this one just made me feel extremely sick that children that young did it with no remorse. I found myself covering myself up and crossing my arms and my legs tighter the longer it went on. I appreciate how respectful these videos are and I've recently discovered your channel/murder mystery so I've been binging.

You were right about the striking similarities between this case and Anita Cobby. The Cobby murder is still to this day a case I can't bring myself to revisit. What she had to go through was so vividly described that I was completely traumatized by it for a long time. How on earth the people who knew and loved her is supposed to live with that, is beyond me. I knew you wouldn't go as graphic on those details as they did in Anita's case, so decided to take the risk and watch it. Even if I'd had to jump out of the story at some point, I decided that at least I needed to see Bella's smile. 🥰

I’m actually disgusted that the police thought it wasn’t serious enough to send out a police car! That’s what they’re paid for, to protect. I’m finally feeling some hope, that a judge actually gave out a sentence that was appropriate. Except that Wayne was messed up in the head and was allowed to hurt another person. Just lock people like this up, second chances aren’t okay in this case.

I don’t think I’ll ever understand how people who have been sexually assaulted or raped can turn around to do it to someone else. 😭 like you know how it feels, you know it hurts, it’s sad, it’s infuriating, and how low you feel afterwards. It’s hard to even trust after that and you go out and make someone else feel that way. Then not only that you kill them too

i‘m from germany and the „life sentence“ here is sadly like 25 years and keeping in mind that they were minors they would have gotten a few years on parole at most ! this is so crazy it has always made me angry I just belive that some people really deserve to spend the rest of their lives locked away
@freyamoon7335
@freyamoon7335 3 жыл бұрын
@@mh0699 makes me want to pull my hair out. Ours is 25 as well, usually with possible early release with good behaviour, or they class time served while waiting for court as “time served” and then minus it off their bloody sentence. Our legal system really is a joke. Our statistics are really scary. One in 3 females under 16 will be sexually assaulted and one in 5 males and the successful conviction rate for child sexual abuse here is 2%!!!!! The justice system fails our children, and adult victims of crime at a horrific rate. People just walk free. I’m so curious, I for some reason assumed Germany had a tougher justice system then us but it sounds like it’s just as much as a joke 😞.

@@mh0699 and I 100% agree there are some people that are truly broken that can not be fixed, they need to be permanently removed from society. It’s sad that it can happen at such a young age but there are lines that you can’t uncross, that leave a horrific permanent scare in society

@@freyamoon7335 yes in germany the government belives in rehabilitation but im my opinion it is just not working and ever since i started watching true crime and i have a comparison to other countries where they get 100years+ i just find it mind boggling (and by no means am i saying that there is any country with a perfect justice system) must be so frustrating to the victims families !
@ginexkasachstan
@ginexkasachstan 3 жыл бұрын
@@mh0699 as you see just now with the Nathalie astner case. This scumbag served his time of vaguely 20 something years and they prepare him for release. Keep in mind he was a convicted sex offender beforehand and only because of that he received 25 years. Otherwise without previous convictions he would've only gotten 15 years "life sentence" for a murder and rape of a child. Sad that in our country you can abuse multiple children/women and get away with minimum terms or probation. The focus should be on the victims and their families not on someone who might "behave better" in the future when they've done the worst of the worst. They showed already that it meant nothing to them to do bad things. Even if the chances of rehabilitation might be in the low % it isnt worth the risk to let these subhumans destroy another precious life

I was living in Sydney during BOTH these crimes. And they seemed bad at the time, but I "appreciate" the horror of both crimes a LOT more now I am older. Both crimes were mind blowing in a still naive Australia. It is unbelievable what kids that age could do, but you see what they have gone through and they basically don't know any other way to live. That kid's mother saying she "can't take him back for another 6 months" just shows me some people SHOULD NOT EVER be allowed to have children. They don't raise them properly, don't care for them , and the rest of society pays the price.

There's a case that we call in Australia "the Claremont serial killer". The case has finally after 25 years been solved last year. I lived in the area while girls were going missing at the time and for it to be finally solved gave not just their poor families but our city justice. Long coming.

I don't know if it actually gives more money to the creator to sit and watch the whole thing but I once heard it did and Bella, you absolutely deserve it! The amount of research you put into these cases and the beautiful way you focus on the victims as opposed to the killers is just so amazing. Loving the Australian cases Bella! As someone recently married in the last year and adore my husband and looking forward to spending our lives together it absolutely breaks my heart for both her and her fiance that that is all taken away. They had so many exciting things ahead - getting married to the love of your life, raising children, and that was all taken away before it could happen. It should have happened. My heart aches for her fiance and family of the sadness they will cary and the memories they should have had. I'm not sure why I'm so hooked on these murder mysteries since they make me sad but a positive note is that they make me appreciate all I have and more :)
