We will talk about where she is going and what the situation is. As most of you know after a long diagnostic process, we came to the conclusion Belle has Equine Shivers which is a progressive disease. This is very sad news as there is currently no cure. BELLE & EZZY: For more back story information: in February, I purchased Belle from an auction and well... we discovered she was pregnant about 4 weeks later following a wellness exam and quarantine! We were completely shocked but also very happy. This will be our first foal ever born at Free Spirit Farm. Here is a little background information: Belle is a 9-year-old Dapple Grey, Draft who is just under 16.2hh. On 6/16/23 Belle gave birth to her MYSTERY FOAL at 1:15AM!!! We were so excited and overjoyed upon the foal's arrival! Belle had a beautiful filly and we decided to name her Esmeralda. Ezzy is bold, intelligent, kind, willing, and independent. We absolutely adore her and Belle! I am SO THANKFUL that Belle (and Ezzy) came into my life.

This made me teary but not for the reasons that you might think. This feels like Divine Intervention to me. I know it’s hard on you to have to be separated from Belle, but there could not be a better solution. The fact she will be only 6 minutes away, the fact she will be with a friend who you know and trust and the fact it also solves a problem for your friend as well just leaves no doubt in my mind that this solution is not only the right one, but that it was provided for you in a almost miraculous way. I am so glad you listened to and followed the guidance being provided to you. We will look forward to seeing you visit her and even some of the settling in “Belle Drama”……She is a beautiful, special horse that has been blessed to have found her way into your care. She’ll be back before we know it.

What a perfect perfect solution. When you have a great friend who is a great horse owner that you can trust, this is a great way to accommodate Belle's needs and his horses needs! You know she's coming home eventually and 6 minutes away, you can go visit her any time.

This looks like a win-win solution. Belle has more room, your friend's horse will not be left alone and you can see Belle any time you can get away from your other responsibilities. Belle will know she has not been abandoned. Eventually Belle and Ezzy will be back together again. All is good.

This is just the perfect solution for a temporary place to house Belle for a short while where she can have more time to adjust with the weening time away from Ezzy, enjoy more open pasture space, not be alone, and still be close enough that you can be with her anytime! I loved how she immediately wanted to start grazing in the pasture to get all the grass she could much on quickly ... too funny!! This opportunity for Belle came at just the perfect time and was meant to be. She is so very loved by everyone, including your surrounding community. Such a special Belle!!!

I totally understand and support your decision for Belle. I also know it is a sacrifice of love to commit to keeping Belle. We have 2 elderly horses both with laminitis. Throughout the video it feels like you feel the need to apologise for needing to make money and survive as a business, but you really don't have to. As you said, you're doing so much for so many horses (and riders who get to buy those fantastic horses) and even though every horse you get is not a rescue or near death, doesn't mean that it's not valuable and you're still helping horses to an amazing life and teach people about it. You don't have a rescue farm supported by donations and only goal to foster horses back to health, your mission is different and it doesn't make it "worse" just because you also need to make the money to go around and be able to keep it up. Some people will never understand, but so many of us see you and your mission and really appreciate you for it and love that you take us with you on your journey ❤

And most of the time for the best I think this is super beneficial for Bell and safer for her to only be around a few horses instead of a larger herd where she could get kicked or something.
