Living St. Louis producer Jim Kirchherr visits Bellefontaine Cemetery with Carol Ferring Sherpley, author of Movers and Shakers, Scalawags and Suffragettes: Tales From Bellefontaine Cemetery. They visit some of the famous tombs and monuments, including the William Clark obelisk, the Wainwright mausoleum designed by Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright, and the Adolphus Busch tomb. They pair also explore some of the more off the beaten path grave sites and discuss the stories that made these residents of Bellefontaine either famous or infamous.

In my opinion one of the most interesting graves is that of Sarah Water who died in 1913. To find her go to the Collins family mausoleum, park and then walk about 75 towards Calvary Ave. She is a life sized metal figure that has turned green. She is laid out as if on her death bed. She has period clothes on and little pointed shoes. Really beautiful !

I drove over, from Indianapolis, to see Rush. I placed a microphone at the base of his headstone. Surprisingly, I was brought to tears. He was a giant of a man, an American Patriot - perhaps the last, as the Country slips further into the Biden abyss. The rest of the cemetery is amazing too...I spent hours looking around...it was a very worthwhile journey. WARNING: The surrounding area is violently unhinged. Stupidly, I stopped off to get gas, (because it was cheap) one exit east and was amazed I got out alive...and I'm not exaggerating.

@@TroyInIndy we are glad you made it out alive. God bless you friend. We all miss Rush tremendously. I often think to myself what would Rush think about any of these terrible things happening to our country and citizens? We have an idea of what he'd say but hearing it from the Golden EIB Mic would make it easier to understand.

Mrs. Sherpley is very sharp and well spoken. As someone who absolutely loves history, I truly appreciate the work she has done and those who came before her. St. Louis is so rich in history.

Instead show the graves in detail they show themselves. I don’t care about them. Ridiculous. Selfishness.

I was here today and it is a fantastic place to visit. It is beautifully kept and it is a wonderful honor to have in St.Louis. Some of the mausoleums have beautiful examples of Tiffany art glass. After you visit go across the street to Calvary cemetery which is also fantastic.
