Visited the cemetery in May 2022 while in town for the Orioles-Cardinals series. In your intro picture, I sat down under the tree at Rush's grave site. Also visited Rush's hometown of Cape Girardeau while in MO. Miss ya Rush.

Whether history is good or bad, we still need to learn from it! I love how you are non-political and just tell things like they are. I and many others may not agree, but that's ok. Many people are trying to cancel others or crucify them because they don't have the same ideals or beliefs, and it's not right! Thank you for keeping it real and keeping it light-hearted.

Amen! Just because someone doesn’t agree with something that you said doesn’t make it okay for them to try to take away your rights to say it. We’re seeing more and more of the so called “cancel culture” in our society. It’s so wrong, doxxing people and publishing their home addresses, place of employment, email addresses and personal phone numbers, getting people fired from their jobs, harassed out on the street, etc. These people are like a pack of rabid dogs. Never in a million years did I think that I’d see all that’s happening in the U.S. right now going on in my lifetime.

Great video and beautiful cemetery. My grandmother had a bad leg break when she was a little girl in St. Louis and met Gussie Busch whom had been at the hospital and he heard of this little girl and the circumstances, so he went into her room and talked with her. Afterward, he went into the hall and seen the doctor talking with my great grandfather and heard him tell the doctor that he'll go to the bank and try to get a second note to the farm to pay for the expensive surgery to save her from losing the leg. Gussie took the doctor aside and said to do whatever was necessary for her and that he would pay for it. What a good guy and growing up I never seen any other brand of beer at any family get together, it was always Budweiser. We still have an x-ray from when she was 80 showing the steel rod from way back then.

I spent twenty five years working at the Anheuser Busch brewery. The Busch family has always been generous to the American people and especially to their employees. My dad worked for Gussie Busch and I worked for August Busch the 3rd and August Busch the 4th. The entire family , the best friend the working men and women ever had. The stories of their kindness will last forever because their true.

Always enjoy your videos. And, I confess, I’m a graveyard junkie. Enjoyed seeing all the history and insights you gave. One memory you sparked was in regards to the St Louis Cardinal football player, Larry Wilson. I remember watching him play a game with two broken arms! Can you imagine a safety playing with that? He did. And played well.

Was born and raised in St. Louis for the first 13 years of my life. I knew of this cemetery because it was just across the way of where my one grandmother lived. Never got to see much of it but all the historical people buried there makes it very interesting and I have never seen it not taken care of. The grounds have always looked so nice and serene.

You can see I love watching the videos where you go to different cemeteries and show the beautiful mausoleums and gravestones. That's crazy to think she had her parents exhumed so that they could have that spot. Kind of weird to think about, but that is an absolutely beautiful mausoleum.

Another famous person buried there is Confederate General Alexander P. Stewart. Born in Tennessee, he served in the US Army, then became a math professor at Cumberland University in Nashville. He served with distinction in CSA's Army of Tennessee in the western theater of the war. After the Civil War, he became chancellor of the University of Mississippi. Lived with his son in St. Louis in his later years, and that's the reason he's buried there.

I never got to have a conversation with Rush, but I listened to him thousands of hours. Maybe someday I'll sit and talk to him at his headstone, and like the Sphinx, he'll whisper back to me. Those benches are for we who knew him but never met him and wished we had.

Thanks for visiting all the graves of the ladies of the Women's Voting Rights movement, since the Centennial Anniversary of the struggle that happened during the pandemic, I was wondering if everyone had forgotten it. They made their voices heard even though they couldn't vote. A lot of fierce women who made a name for themselves when many women didn't have that opportunity.

Rush is my hero, I started listening the day after 9/11 and was hooked. People call him so many things that he never was. What impressed me most about him, was how he could predict what was going to happen in politics. And he would always give me hope, no matter how bad things got in America.

Back in the 80’s, Rush Limbaugh worked in radio in Sacramento California. He was funny.. he said the funniest thing I’ve ever heard on radio... when he told the time one day, he said..” Well, for you folks in Sacramento, the time is 12:15 ,, for the folks in Woodland, it’s 15 minutes after 12.. and for you folks in Lodi.. well.. the big hand is on the three, and the little one is on the 12.. “ I never will forget that!! 😅 But later, years later.. I started hating his guts.. 😂 Love Grandma Debbie

As a child I was fascinated by the cemetery. We lived near there. I even wrote of it in my book, A BRIDGE TO TIME, A Re-enactor's Journey. Here is the paragraph... "Recently, I paid a visit to St. Louis’ haunted Lemp Mansion, home of the old Lemp Brewery and their famous beer, Falstaff. Next, it was on to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. On completion of our Beer-Baron tour we found for sale samples of beer that would have been unthinkable a few years ago-Belgium’s Leffe beer. (I had a Leffe after my 2006 visit to the Belgium Army Museum in Brussels.) Who would have guessed that St. Louis’ Anheuser-Busch would sell out to InBev? The Anheusers, Busches, and Lemps now all reside quietly within a beer bottle throw of one another at St. Louis’ Bellefontaine Cemetery, not far from where my grandparents, Frederick and Marie Fuchs lie." (West and downhill from Clark's monument.) When I was young, far too many years ago, Falstaff and not Budweiser was the top beer in St. Louis. Additional: Before me is the book, MOVERS AND SHAKERS, SCALAWAGS AND SUFFRAGETTE, TALES FROM BELLEFONTAINE CEMETERY by Carol Ferring Shepley.
